Once again I saw a clip of the "He's an Arab" woman.
She sounds as if she has the IQ of mulch.

I have to wonder. How did a woman that dumb find herself at a political rally? Her basement-dwelling 40 year old son?

Really .... who are these people? I don't know any of them.

4. Do you know what's sad? The people at McCain's rallies are barely in the position
to afford 4 more years of Bush's economics. Most of them look working-class, and it's a really sad statement that they have put their racist tendencies ahead of their economic well-being.

9. Exactly
These people are their own worst enemies. I live around people like these crazies you see in the clip. They really don't even know why they are voting republican anymore. They are ignorant and stubborn. That's it.

I guess they can survive on hate and ignorance.

The flip side of that, in my opinion, are the 9/11 conspiracy theorists, so it takes all kinds.

21. "9/11 conspiracy theorists"???
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 06:20 PM by TahitiNut
You mean those people who believe that some devout Muslims living in caves in Asia coordinated the support and training of 19 men living in various places all over the U.S. who then came together on four pre-designated flights on a clear September morning and almost unerringly hijacked all four flights and destroyed two of the biggest buildings in the world?? The people who believe that the FBI (who brought us Richard Jewell) was able to identify ALL 19 of them within 48 hours, even though their bodies and baggage were completely destroyed?

Yeah ... that's the most BIZARRE conspiracy theory I've ever heard.

Do they? :sarcasm: Do you forget how quickly they got Timothy McVeigh?

No. 9/11 was not a government operation.

12. These are dumb people who live in fixed incomes
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 05:44 PM by Warpy
that are a lot less than they thought they'd be, so they generally live in substandard housing and their entire entertainment budget is either basic cable or satellite, both of which carry Pox News. They stay indoors most of the time because going out means spending money they don't have and they sit in front of the tube which is turned to Pox News because the format is set to appeal to them.

I actually feel sorry for those people because I've seen how they live.

I just want Rupert Murdoch sued into the poorhouse for false advertising for his constant propaganda which is falsely labeled as both news and fair.

In the meantime, there are a lot of old folks out there who are economic shutins and they all seem to be watching Pox.

17. not necessarily dumb but scared - I was thinking today
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 06:00 PM by 28erl
why would these people who are so poor be so against and why do they vote against themselves
But if you are poor and are now in the same socioeconomic category as many of these people who scare you because your neighborhood is now drug infested or worn down, or crime ridden - and you have no means to move out to a 'better' neighborhood - you are scared and don't want people who look like the people in your neighborhood controlling things - or you are afraid of having to live in that kind of neighborhood

The other part of that - they bought their house for maybe 30,000 years ago - they did not want to move - the housing in their area went up but the neighborhood went down because most people moved out as people with lower socioeconomic levels moved in and they brought with them trouble

Just some thoughts

It is easier to be open when you live in a safe neighborhood and if all you see on the news are people who don't look like you, shooting guns and killing people - you get scared - especially as you get older and can not protect yourself, or you are decrepit -

Just pulled in and the neighbor across the street has a McCain Palin sign - stupid people are every where - they live in a mobile home and think these are good people to run the country -

I want better and more opportunities for all

26. I kind of felt sorry for her
It seems as though she truly believed the garbage the campaign has been spouting. The way she said, "No?" when he contradicted her made me believe she was a major low informational voter. If she is a fox news watcher his campaign probably had reinforced what she was getting news wise. At her age she grew up with real newsmen like Cronkite who did not spew out false news like what we get now. You could trust a newsman in those days.

I don't know what age she is but she's not young. I don't remember people being that stupid back when I or that woman would have been young. Is it all the drugs in people's systems both legal and illegal that makes them that dumb?
