The problem isn’t so much that some conservatives won’t be voting for McCain... (because I doubt most of those are being honest with themselves) Rather it’s that conservative volunteers won’t run an ACORN style election process in order to win. If Obama gets into office and the Dems get their 60, then it’s a guarantee that we’ll enter a second civil war in short order.

That's not true. We are talking about probability here. With RINO, the numbers are about 50-60% they would vote 'conservative'. With the Dims, the numbers will go to almost 100%.

But I believe that once a nation's Inner Nazi is released, as the Bushies have done (and if you don't know what I mean, listen to Michael Savage or Sean Hannity, or their followers, and hear the echoes of the past for yourself) then such happenings are inevitable, in some form or another. The only question is WHEN.

So that is where I am coming from. If the only question is WHEN, then my thought is that it's better now than later, when the last vestiges of Old American Liberty are long gone,and the Bushies get "Nazi-level" support from Law Enforcement. God Forbid I think it MIGHT BE at this point - observe the ACORN Propaganda Ops and how willingly corrupt Loyal Bushie Law Enforcement is today. How after 8 years of Bush Rule, most agencies are basically run by Loyal Bushie Criminals who operate with shameless impunity and perform criminal action right out in the open, confident they will never be prosecuted. So there was the perceived potential of the Democrats winning in 2006. Thankfully from both a freedom and political point of view none of this came true.

And while the potential is there in the freepers' tiny little minds, the reality isn't. Democrats govern, they don't rule.

Republicans only listen to the 51% that elected them and completely ignore the 49% that didn't. Democrats don't work that way, sometimes to our disadvantage.


It's unlikely to be a sea change that we probably need. It takes time to build momentum.

I think that we're on a multi-decade progressive journey, though.
