Digging through headlines from 10 years ago?
Ted Nugent found to be a fucking idiot asshole

WorldNetDaily, October 3, 1998

Detailed psychological analysis of Ted Nugent and his behavior has revealed an interesting fact: he is despicable. Hedley Eksamminer, Doctor of Psychological Studies at Harvard Medical School, concluded a two year study of Nugent that was due to conclude in January 2000. The results will be published this month in the Journal of the American Medical Association. "The analysis took only 20 minutes," said Eksamminer. "I would have published it sooner, but my wife had a baby. It was such an incredibly easy and obvious study. Quite literally, Ted Nugent is the biggest prick on the planet. In the vernacular of my field, he is a classic fucking idiot asshole."

"That woman doesn't have a lick of sense..."
One of my dearest friends had this to say about Sarah Palin after watching her pass off the baby to a six year old and didn't even look around to check out how the six year old and the baby were doing.

"And then she let that baby carry that baby down the stairs. She didn't even care enough to watch, even out of the corner of her eye..."

response #11 by WCGreen:

that's probably how she would care for the country...
Hold it with little support and let it dangle...

Poll question by faygokid:

It's third and long. The clock is ticking down. What is McCain's next Hail Mary play?
George Stepalloverus said tonight on ABC News that the McCain campaign is in deep trouble, and he needs a game changer.

Which one looks most likely to you?

:bluebox: Dump Sarah from the ticket and replace her with Elizabeth Hasselbeck

:bluebox: Get W. to bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran

:bluebox: Offer to be godfather to Bristol's baby, and promise to make reluctant Levi "an offer he can't refuse"

:bluebox: "Read my lips: No new taxes"

:bluebox: Grow a beard and remind everyone Lincoln was a Republican, too. Oh, and fire Gen. McClellan

:bluebox: Pair up with Sarah on "Dancing With the Stars"

:bluebox: Hire the cast of "Extreme Makeover" and put 'em to work

:bluebox: Have a Sister Souljah moment and tell Ann Coulter she really, really sucks

:bluebox: Hire a new campaign manager who just recently became available: Matt Millen

response #4 by Mme. Defarge:

He could secretly try to substitute
Tina Fey for Palin, since Fey is obviously very intelligent. If, of course, he could figure out where to hide the Palins.

response #22 by Raine1967:

      He goes into a coma...
It's the ultimate Hail Sarah. (forget Mary... she weeps to much)
Here is the scene: Doctors tell us he is hanging on... America feels his pain... It's minute by minute, the media is hanging on the every breath..

He wins and suddenly. like a miracle from god... wakes from the coma.

Except, Obama is going to win, and John McCain will stay in the coma... he really needs the rest. :)

What else does he have?

At press time, "Get W. to bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" and "Pair up with Sarah on 'Dancing With the Stars'" were tied with 21% of the votes each.

OP by sunnystarr:

My 13 year old grandson just coined a new word ...
He said the word was palinate. I didn't get it so he told me to ask him a question. So I asked him "How are you doing in school?" He answered ... "I would like to tell you about my World of Warcraft addiction." I still didn't get it lol.

He looked at me like I was dumber than dumb and said ... PALINATE Grandma ... It's when you give an answer to a question that has nothing to do with the question ... like Sarah Palin does.

So I've been PALINIZED!

response #26 by DontTreadOnMe:

      Fantastic!
PALINATE

pal·i·nate
–verb (used with object)
1. to mislead with a different answer; delude: She palinated the audience with her energy experience.
2. to be unfaithful to the country (political tactic).
–verb (used without object)
3. to mislead or falsely persuade others; practice deceit: an engaging manner that easily palinates.

response #31 by sunnystarr:

      Now what would palinize be?
Pal.i.nize

You just palinized me! or Don't palinize me! lol

That was a palinizing response.

response #32 by madamesilverspurs:

      Shouldn't that be
"Don't palinize me, bro!" ???

response #34 by vaberella:

I could hear it now..."Don't you palinate me!!" "Who do you think your palinating?"
"The palination of the speech left the audience confused."

response #89 by OxQQme:

There's an old saying out west:
Palinate me once, I'll get by.
Palinate me twice, um, er, .....(could somebody finish this for me?)

On a thread by ThePhoenix:

      Palin Misquotes Albright
"At a rally today in California, Gov. Sarah Palin offered up a rather jarring argument for supporting the Republican ticket. 'There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women,' the Alaska Governor said, claiming she was quoting former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

The statement came after Palin had recounted a 'providential' moment she experienced on Saturday: 'I'm reading on my Starbucks mocha cup, ok? The quote of the day... It was Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State and UN ambassador. ... Now she said it, I didn't. She said, "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women."'

Actually, Albright didn't say that. The real quote is, 'There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't help other women.' (Sources made the same point to CBS's Scott Conroy...)"

response #3 by Whoa_Nelly:

NEWS UPDATE: Palin officially thanks Starbucks Corp. for Word from God
CA Starbucks (StupidShit MSM)- At a rally in California today, Gov. Sarah Palin gave thanks to the Good Lord Above for delivering her a special message she felt compelled to share publicly. With her hands raised in supplication, eyes closed and swaying to her inner religious drumbeat, Palin shouted her thanks to God for placing in her life a Starbucks Quote Cup.

"Dear Yahweh of The Third Wave! Blessed are you for giving me words of utter bullshit that I can turn and use in this campaign rally here today in California! We here at this rally see your light, your wisdom, and your ultimate goal as you speak to me through devotional messages encrypted on this Starbucks cup. As one of your chosen, I am honored and enlightened to be able to share your message so it may go out to the people of the world through this small gathering today."

Palin closed the rally with more thanks to God.

"May the Third Wave of Yahweh move through these people here today, and spread like wildfire into the nooks and crannies of all of the American Government as you, O Great Son of the Lord, My Jesus Christ, My Personal Savior, move me toward your Rapture, and the Rapture that will save all here today who heard your word first hand through me, your Chosen One. In praise of your wisdom and foreplay..um..foresight, I now know and share that The Third Wave of your Greatness will take me to the White House. Amen!"

After several "Hallelujahs" by a couple of people in the rally audience, Palin left the stage. As she reached the stairs to walk down from the podium, she swayed, possibly due to her religious fervor.

Fortunately her Wasilla Pastor was on hand, along with Pat Robertson, to catch her as she swooned.

Gov. Palin recovered quickly and told reporters afterward that she will be stopping and getting coffee at Starbucks before every rally, as well as every upcoming interview the McCain campaign deems necessary for her to attend and participate.

response #8 by kayakjohnny:

Keep talking, Sarah, keep talking. The American voter REALLY needs to hear you, Sarah.
We really want you to speak. In public. Every day. It's OK, you're doing just fine. Don't listen to the naysayers. You just keep on talking. We're hanging on your EVERY WORD. And don't pay attention to that downward pointing line on your poll numbers. That's just a little lull before you spike again right near election day. We REALLY need to hear from you. Just remember that. Every day.

How to dress your child as Sarah Palin for Halloween
Politicians have always been popular Halloween figures, and Sarah Palin is one of America's more talked-about politicians. Couple that with the fact Sarah Palin probably hands out Chick Tracts instead of candy, she's the perfect Halloween costume for this wacky era.

There are two ways to approach dressing your kid as Sarah Palin come October 31.

The long, drawn out way: Dress your child in a woman's skirted business suit, with properly padded bra if necessary. Have the child don a dark, highlighted wig and style it in a Palinesque updo. Apply a lot of makeup, especially bronzer and dark mauve lipstick. As a finishing touch, have the child wear wire-rimmed reading glasses.

If you're dressing a girl as Sarah Palin, this might be okay...a little boy would run screaming before you were able to finish the extensive makeup session this would require. There is an easier way to go:

The quick, just-as-effective method: A George W. Bush mask with dark mauve lipstick, and a skirt.

Next McCain attack: Obama tied to dangerous vigilantes Jake and Elwood Blues
These "Blues Brothers" caused a dangerous police chase - perhaps the most damaging in history. Multiple police cars wrecked, tens of thousands of dollars of damage done, just to pay a $5,000 tax debt for an orphanage. And where did this dangerous police chase take place? What city does Jake and Elwood Blues call home?

That's right. Chicago. The city that Obama has controlled for at least the last 48 years.

Day 586. I’m Proud Of John McCain.
Five hundred and eighty-six days into his 2008 campaign for President, John McCain has yet to call either of Barack Obama’s daughters ugly. He has also nobly refrained from inferring that Michelle Obama is a lesbian, or that Barack’s children are the product of a liason between Michelle Obama and another woman.

His running mate has also refrained from such comments. This absence of such charges indicates that John McCain has grown, as a man and as a politician. He and running mate Sarah Palin are launching a series of attacks on Barack’s character, his allegiance to and love for his nation, his religious practices, and all manner of other personal assaults designed to lure the unskeptical away from Obama’s camp; but notably, they have refused to address the appearance and facial features of his daughters, or to impugn the sexual habits of his wife.

Be proud, Republicans. Be proud.

Being born in 1962 here are my big events from the 60's
62 to 64 - Shit on myself occasionally
65 - ran away from senile/overbearing Grand Mother causing my mother to have to leave work to find me hiding in bushes at neighbors house. Learned not to make Mom have to leave work.
66 - drove my tractor/tricycle into pool. Learned to ride tractor in driveway.
67 - went to Kindergarten, took naps, drank juice, crashed bike into back of 59 Ford Pickup. Learned to watch where I was going and people are protective of 59 Ford Pickups.
68 - first grade, kicked shoe into air, causing other kids to laugh, kept doing it until it hit Heather (unknown last name) in the head. Got in trouble with teacher. Scratched older brothers Paperback Writer 45, he was pissed, gave me indian burns and pink belly, should thank me now. Crashed bike messing around construction site, received minor concussion, learned not to ride bike down big dirt hills like the HS kids were doing.
69 - played tackle football with 7th and 8th graders, broke collarbone, learned not to play football with anyone over 12.

This from a kid who had brothers going off to service so I was likely much more aware of current events, and other than RFK getting shot and my Mother breaking down in tears, and the Apollo moon landing, everything was pretty damn self focused.

"Seriously. We never should have said 'Hussein,' as in, 'Barack Hussein Obama.' We will tell everyone associated with our campaign that they must never refer to our opponent as 'Barack Hussein Obama,' only as 'Barack Obama.' No 'Hussein.' Really."

"In the future we expect our campaign not to repeat the mistake of saying 'Barack Hussein Obama' and we will delete all references to the name 'Hussein' from our materials. It was grievously unfair for us to remind people that our opponent's middle name is a common MUSLIM name like 'Hussein,' which lots of Islamic extremist terrorists are called, when of course we would never imply that our opponent had any connection to Islamic extremist terrorists because of the middle name 'Hussein.' We want that to be very clear."

"So we will never refer to the Senator as Barack 'Hussein' Obama again, and we expect everyone to respect our decision to avoid using the Senator's middle name 'Hussein,' and likewise eliminate that reference from their speeches, etc."

"Got that, everyone? We're SORRY we said 'Hussein', and we will never say 'Barack Hussein Obama' again, and we hope everyone will forget that we ever said 'Barack Hussein Obama', and will likewise refrain from referring to the Senator as 'Barack Hussein Obama.' NO MORE HUSSEIN!"

I was working on Wall Street late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
Inflation and panic began to rise
And suddenly to the nation's surprise

They did the crash
They did the monster crash
The monster crash
It was a bail out smash
They did the crash
It turned savings into trash
They did the crash
They did the Wall Street crash

From my office suite on old K Street
To the Stock Exchange where the vampires meet
The ghouls all came from their luxury abodes
To grab what they can before the market explodes

They did the crash
They did the monster crash
The monster crash
It was a bail out smash
They did the crash
It turned savings into trash
They did the crash
They did the Wall Street crash

The republicans were having fun
The gluttony had just begun
The guests included Cheney
Old man Bush and his son

Out from his coffin, Reagan's voice did ring
Seems he was troubled by just one thing
He opened the lid and shook his fist
And said, "Whatever happened to my Trickle Down Twist?"

They did the crash
They did the monster crash
The monster crash

My experience as an undecided voter...
Hi
I was asked by Fox News to particpate in their viewer panel to watch last night's debate. I was paid $500 in FoxCash (for use at participating FoxStores - which seem to sell some weird stuff: I ended up purchasing a Bill O'Loufah and bath wash, Don't Block the Shot target, rifle and bullets - a great gift for my 5 year old, several copies of O'Reileys books - I am thinking of using them as doorstops, and a Sean Hannity paperweight shaped like a brain? hard to tell its really small, must be used for post-it notes).

With me was an African-American woman, ShaQuota Tokena, I think they said her name was...I'm not sure, those crazy Blacks with their ethnic names, like LaToya,Shaquille, and Osama...oops Obama (I get them confused!! Obama - Biden, Osama Bin Laden - its so similar). There was also an Oriental (or do they prefer to be called Chinese?) man (although he looked white to me... but O'Reilley kept calling him Pinh Hede), but he left early. He asked if he could have his $500 in Zimbabwe dollars because their economy is more stable and he was escorted out. He must have needed the money for a new car because when he left it sounded like a car backfiring or something. I knew he was joking... there aren't any countries that start with Z... we all had a good laugh.

We were told that represented a cross-section of America - I represented the Self-Centered Apathetic Taxpayer (they call me SCAT for short - isn't that cute? like cat with an s!) and we were given these hand-held controls and we were told to turn the dial when we agreed or disagreed with what the candidates said. I really felt bad for the US soldier recently back from his 5th tour in Iran (he really loves our country!), he arrived in a wheelchair and had lost an arm, both legs, and most of the use of his remaining hand. He was struggling with the dial, he kept trying to turn it up for Obama when he mentioned ending the war, a Fox staffer came to help but he must have been looking at it upside down because he turned the dial down for Obama when the vet wanted it up, and up for McCain when he wanted down. That brave vet left early too... can you believe his dedication?? Someone from the Army came and said he was up for another tour - when we pointed out that he was handicapped, the Army man said "His trigger finger still works". And Bless his heart, that vet was so excited to serve, he actually leapt out of his wheelchair and tried to fling himself onto a bus.

There was something wrong with my handset. Whenever I tried to rate that nice colored man high, I got an electric shock. I really liked what he had to say, he seemed very smart and so healthy! Mr. McCain I think had a mild stroke during the debate, he kept gasping and whispering, and seemed to have a hard time standing. But that time in the POW camp really gave him some moxie... he kept at it! He even made a couple of jokes - the economy can't be bad if he can laugh. I wasn't the only one who had a problem with the handset. There was one undecided, his name was Richard (or Dick as we called him) - he seemed a little grumpy and he looked familiar, who turned the dial so low when McCain mentioned that he and Cindy were going to buy up all the bad mortgages (how nice!), he got some type of shock. The Fox staffers said his pacemaker went bad - and truthfully he really did look bad - he paled considerably when that guy's car backfired and shouted "It wasn't me this time". Poor guy, he must have served in a war because that looked like some PMS or PTSD or whatever.

Because so many of the original panel members left (that poor Mexican woman looked so scared - she must have worried she was about to be deported. Her english was flawless, and I guess she is a professor of physics at the University. She said she was born here but you never know - they will say anything to steal our jobs), a few Fox interns came and took their place. A couple of the male interns must have had cancer (how brave!) because they were completely bald... ShaQuota called them skinheads... which I thought was cruel.

But I will say this, I like that McCain is going to lower our taxes. I am so tired of paying taxes on everything! I rated McCain really high everytime he said Obama would raise our taxes. Our government needs to stay out of my pocketbook and get to work on fixing our roads, improving our health care, and fighting the war on terror. They have the money, they just wrote a $700 billion check, I don't understand why my income tax matters - its nothing compared to what they spend. I have learned a lot about the campaigns from watching their informercial ads on tv. McCain is a maverick - not sure what that means - and Obama is a terrorist I guess. Well thats what that woman says, I saw a clip of her speech on the Fox News while I was getting ready to watch "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader". I love that show - whoever says our education system is failing needs to watch that show!! Those kids are so smart - they beat me everytime!

After the debate, this SCAT is going to vote for "that one" - he just seemed to have a nicer smile and looked so nice. And you know even though McCain kept calling us his friends, he didn't stay very long to talk to us or shake hands. OOOps still got a tremor from the handset shocks...

And just in case you did not know this has been :sarcasm:

"In the debate, McCain portrayed Barack Obama as an excessive spender, and he punctuated his attack (twice) with this example:

'voted for nearly a billion dollars in pork barrel earmark projects, including, by the way, $3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Illinois. My friends, do we need to spend that kind of money.'

Turns out, a lot of people think we do. This is no ordinary overhead projector from your 5th grade classroom. The blog Cosmic Variance sums it up:

New Bombshell To Be Announced By McCain Campaign - Brace Yourselves...
McCain plans to announce tomorrow that his campaign researchers have just discovered that Senator Obama might not be white.

response #2 by meowomon:

      Here is McCain's October Surprise
The real October Surprise is that Barack Obama is the secret love child of Yasser Arafat and Rosa Parks. He was conceived in a lab in Hawaii by a sleeper cell with ties to Iran and Syria. Many other darker skinned politicians are "Manchurian jihadists" as well and their names will be forthcoming on November 5th. So vote for McCain! You know. The safe white guy.

OP by philboy:

How I plan on dealing with the economic crisis tomorrow.
5 AM - awaken.

0507 - Reach over to nightstand for whiskey bottle. Do two shots.

0509 - Urinate. Run wet washcloth over face. Brush teeth.

0510 - two more shots of whiskey

0515 - put on underwear, black socks, and dress shoes. Nothing else.

0517 - sit at computer and start reading financial news. 3 more shots.

0530 - Breakfast. Doritos and a baloney sandwich.

0600 - 0930 - Continue reading financial news and drinking whiskey. Cry profusely. Check 401k balance.

0930 - 1200 - monitor stock market closely at computer. Beer with left hand, whiskey with right. Continue crying. Call old friends up and merely say "Iths all over man, iths all fugging over"" and hang up.

1201 - 1230 - Lunch. Whiskey, beer, and 45 slices of American cheese.

1231 - 400 - watch the market drop 2900 points in a drunken haze. Giggle inappropriately. Check 401k balance online and notice it now has a negative balance.

401 - market has closed.

402 - Morphine enema. While giving myself the enema, watch CNBC and take notice of how annoying Maria Buttafuaco Bartoroma's voice is.

430 - Dinner. Suck on raw frozen chicken wings, un-thawed. Blueberry pop tart with mustard for dessert.

431 - 930 - the real drinking begins.

931 - bed time.
