McCain's Bad Day: He Defends Obama & Gets Booed by His Own "Supporters"
what a jerk!

with all the shit he has stirred up about obama, now he's having to defend obama to his rabid freak following:

McCain defends Obama against crowd October 10th, 2008 – 5:18 PM by Pat Doyle
McCain repeatedly made comments seeming to tamp down some of the harsher criticism of Obama from the crowd.

A man stood up and said he and his wife were expecting a child, adding, “We’re scared of an Obama presidency,” and went on to ask McCain about who he would appoint to the Supreme Court.

McCain began his answer by telling the crowd that Obama “is a decent person, a person you don’t have to be scared to be president.”

The statement drew loud boos

a woman stood up and said something about obama being an arab--mcfuck shook his head and told the moran obama was a decent family man.

then...troopergate findings released; palin is fucked.

take an aspirin, republicons, take two.

1. She said Obama was "an Arab,"
and McPOW took the microphone away from her, shaking his head, saying that Obama was a decent man.

Kind of too little too late, I'd say. McPOW really fucked it up, and now I fear even more for the whole Obama family.

2. I'll defend McCain on this one.
He's screwed either way, but for him to go in front of his rabid redneck following and ask for respect for his fellow candidate takes courage.

11. I don't knoiw
Two days ago when McCain asked the crowd, "Who is Obama?" some redneck yelled back, "A terrorist!". McCain briefly got a shocked and disgusted look on his face and then continued. I told my wife that McCain hates what is going on and if there is any of the old John McCain left at all something would happen in the next day or so. Well it has and I do give him credit for attempting to get the situation back under control.

17. I also think he did it b/c he is a Coward
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 02:51 PM by Heather MC
Obama called him out "say it to my face"
His supporters are asking him to go hard at the Debates
then questioning why didn't he?

If he goes into the next debate without "smoothing this out" one of two things happens
He does bring this crap up during the debates, and Obama buries him

Or he punks out once again and his supporters get pissed
but if days before the debate he backs off on this, he can always say
"as I said before the debates, Obama is a decent man, blah blah blah"

It's a coward's move IMO

5. I understand your sentiment .... you're a typical liberal!
So am I!! :)

Not arguing with you ..... but consider ...... she felt free to say TO HIM what she said because he and his camp followers have been **encouraging** that sort of talk.

He's not brave. He's a coward.

6. I'm convinced that McCain's internals are showing all this viciousness as of late
is backfiring, which is why he started defending Obama today. All week long at his rallies, there have been some horrible things said and he didn't say squat then.

7. Rachael said someone shouted out today "bomb Obama"
I guess this prompted McCain's response and the resulting boos today?

9. John and Sarah can't eat those words..
they put it out there, they own it. The saddest thing is that these poor people are so ignorant. They believe this stuff. They are proud of their hatred. Every year the Republicans get more and more vile. Their supporters always go after Democrats with a vengeance, and are always removed from a factual reality. It is just sad.

16. His defense of Obama is weak
I've given up trying to figure out his moment by moment swings and motivations for them, but it boils down to the fact that he supported the smear campaign, and is responsible whether his distaste for it is real or phony.
