4. A good percentage of them live on my street, it seems...
New signs sprout up every freakin' day!

And I live in a very liberal place (Santa Cruz County). However, there are NO other McCain signs in the neighborhood. I think theres one guy on the street who bought a bunch of signs and handed them out. I wonder why he didn't come to my door?

I am sick of looking at the signs, by tonight I'll have my own Obama sign, plus a No on 8 sign.

I know signs don't vote, but it makes me wonder about the people on my street. I knew one guy was a Repub (had a W sticker), but not the rest of them. Blech.

The funny part is that McCain will probably lose this county, even this precinct, by a huge margin.

b) are racist.

c) are religiously insane.

12. Conversely, though, as many as 52% support Obama, and no Dem candidate since LBJ has gotten
more than 50.1% of the vote, if I remember correctly. Even Clinton never broke 50. So going by recent history, Obama's doing great.

13. Considering that half the eligible voters usually don't show up anyway
That works out to about the same 20% who still support the Chimp. And those poor creatures are beyond redemption. I am hoping that a good chunk of that "other half" does show up this time though. They won't be voting for McCrazy if they do.

18. If you read the Powell Memo, he says political activism in 60s was result of too much educatio
so they have been working to undermine it in every way possible ever since. They have been far more successful with K-12 by micromanaging and regulating it to death than they have with higher ed. With college, they've just made it impossible for most kids to go without working full time, so they won't graduate until they are 30, giving them little time for political activism but plenty of time to provide cheap labor at Hot Dog on a Stick.

19. That's not really true when you think about it.
Only about half the country actually votes in national elections, sadly, so the president is chosen by a much smaller percentage, technically speaking.
