John Nichols ...Nation...says Republican members of Alaska State Leg..saved report
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 01:22 PM by Stuart G
Yes....saved report..

They refused to be pushed around by Mc Cain /Bush political operatives who came to Alaska to stop the Troopergate from becoming public..
These Republicans in the Alaska state legislature...(hard to believe) pushed to keep the investigation going..

McCain Camp Fails to Block "Troopergate" Probe
Nicholes states..

No matter what the conclusion of the "Troopergate" investigation into Sarah Palin's abuses of power as governor of Alaska, the fact that the report will be released today marks a major victory for those Republicans and Democrats who remained committed to ethics in government.

"Here's the story of how Alaskan Republican legislators defended the probe against the assault by GOP operatives from Washington."

Evidently, some in that party in Alaska believe that no one is above the law....

I heard Nichols interviewed by Ed Shultz at approximately 12:45 Central Time..In a live interview he said that the Republicans would not cave into the demands of the Bush/Chaney people who wanted to kill the report and the investigation. If you read the story above at the link, we see that there are good people up there who believe in fair justice. Evidently Palin's arrogance got to everyone up there.

3. A lot of Republicans in alaska just plain don't like Sarah Palin
In fact before this Vice President thing she had a higher approval rating among Democrats than Republicans. She back stabbed many of them over oil taxes..

4. Rethugs all across the country are running away from McSame/Palin.
Odds that Palin will be impeached have to be increasing.

6. When the report comes out later today..we will see..
Early reports about the investigation are that she did indeed do everything necessary to block and stop this investigation. Also, I thought that I heard that there are impeachable offenses in that report. We will see in a few hours when the report comes out

10. I really really admire people who do the right thing
--especially since the pressure to go along with the McCain campaign must have been intense. I know McCain is not popular among Republicans, but the RNC still wants him to win.

A big  to those legislators who stuck their necks out for the truth.
