Disrespectful McCain

Obama is a senator calling him "That One" is very disrespectful.

The bigger of the blunders, I think. McCain leaving right away gave Obama the opportunity to look even more presidential.

Implying that he did not know who/what Freddy and Fannie was

10. Yes, I can't imagine what he thought was useful in saying the questioner, and others, had never even

heard of Fannie and Freddie until just recently - even if it were true, it would serve NO rhetorical purpose in bringing it up. What you want to do rhetorically, in such a situation, is to educate about Fannie and Freddie a little bit and help the questioner/listener feel as though s/he shares special knowledge and understanding with you and others - NOT make them feel embarassed and resentful.

No matter how many "jokes" he puts on the face of things, this man is quintessentially HOSTILE.

7. I agree. When I heard him refer to Obama as "that one"

I shouted at the TV. Startled myself.
It was one of the rudest remarks of the campaign. It shown mcsame's disdain for everyone who is following this Presidential election, particularly those of us who support Obama.

It is the mark of the man. No-one counts but himself. Everyone else is "that one".
