FCC investigating TV networks, military analysts

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Federal Communications Commission says it's looking at five television networks and 19 former military officers who may have violated government disclosure rules.

The FCC hasn't named the media companies, but representatives from CBS News and ABC News say they've received the government inquiries.

The investigation stems from a New York Times story, which revealed a secret Defense Department campaign to recruit former military officers to go on-air in support of the Bush administration's views on the war in Iraq and other military issues.

6. Aren't there ANY FCC rules Hannity, Limbaugh, et al violate?

Especially given the "terrorist" and "incitement of violence" aspects of the Patriot Act?

If they are strictly entertainers, there should be SOME sort of regulation on how they present facts (and lies) when it is a call to ignorance, and violence.
