I am beginning to truly hate Tuesdays

Last week my Mom went into the hospital, and two weeks previous my Father died, both on Tuesday nights. Today Mom went back in to hospital, because something is still blocking her pain meds from working fully. This triggers anxiety, and the two snowball from there.

This has been an ongoing situation for ten years now. Thanks to a friend here on DU, I have reminded myself that this is something I have helped see to and make sane for those around me. And them me. Those distant only weeks ago are with me, our love as kindred spirits again shining and shared.

That means you Maw. And you Angel. I love you both so much, there are few souls on this earth I adore the way I do yours.

The diagnoses will come, and remedy and rest will see it's way to Mom, for we are blessed to have great care for her from superb doctors, therapists and nurses.

But ye gods, another Tuesday? Is this a sleep deprivation experiment of some sort? Because if it is, it's disappointment time. I can nap like few can, at the drop of a hat. Sometimes in sterophonic sound.

Ask the folks on the Malloy thread, and so's they know, I LOVE YOU GUYS TO PIECES!

I am not at the end of my tether, nor close to crumbling. I am bouyed by families. Many families that in the end form one. My kin, my Aydin family, my PFI boyz, my DU family, alumni, neighbors old and new, so very many others and I'm already in Too Numerous country.

So on we'll go. I'll be at the phones, cursing the ring but loving the fuck outta the voice on the other end of the line.

Love one another. It is truly all we have.

I know it seems like it's always on a Tuesday, but there's never a "better" time..or a "worse" time..

My favorite uncle died on my birthday, and my husband's mother died on HIS birthday :(

A friend commented to another friend one tiome, about how her grandfather had died on Christmas day.. the friend said... " gee that's the WORST time for someone to die"..my friend said.. "so when would have been a "better" time for Grandpa to die"..:)

Strange how you mention Tuesdays as being your personal "D-Day". For me, it's always Monday - for much the same reasons you seem to face on Tuesdays.
