I mean, after all, you can program those things to count any which way you want. So you have the polls no where near close enough to steal it and blame it on all the white guys who said they supported but wouldn't pull the handle for the African American once they were hidden away in the voting booth.

So, flip the numbers around, give Obama an even bigger landslide than he's getting (and that some American's are just too stupid to give him). Then, a few "whistleblowers" about the rigged vote - BushCo magnanimously says he'll stay on to lead until this is all resolved...

3. They'd be killing the goose that lays the golden eggs: electronic voting machines.
If such a scenario were to occur, it is likely that electronic voting machines would be banned, making it harder to steal future elections, but if the ultimate goal is to get Bush into office forever, it's a small price, but it's not if the goal is to merely continue to disenfranchise voters and rig elections to favor Republicans in general and not just Bush.

13. That's because the Republicans haven't decided to kill the goose.
The Democrats always play on the Republican framing of the debate. If the Republicans wanted to seriously ban e-voting, they were in a far better position to do it than the Dems were in 2004, since the Repubs didn't lose control of Congress until Jan. 2007.

4. Oh No, I didn't realize that Karl Rove has joined DU!
That would be just like you, Karl!

And I can see where if the Powers that Be could prove corruption of the vote in just one County in Chicago, the talking heads would be on that meme all d24/7, until the election results were reversed.

7. I think the thugs want an Obama victory, and are already planning for '12
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 02:30 PM by Uncle Sinister
They know that the country has a micro-memory. They know that whoever wins in'08 inherits a shitstorm. They know Obama is a Clinton-style centrist who will do NOTHING to halt the economic rape of the country. They know the country will be desperate for ANYTHING in 4 years. They produce a "white knight" in '12...young, smart, charismatic...a freeper JFK for the new millennium. And all of a sudden it's a gloves-off dictatorship.

Game, set, match.

8. What if they don't steal it, but then just claimed they did?
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 03:34 PM by pending
What if they didn't steal for anyone. Then when Obama wins, they claim that they stole it for Obama.

Then they'll claim the theft as an injustice and demand it be reversed. They'll also demand to be recognized as heroes for showing how an election could be stolen.

(where is that tin foil hat icon anyway?)
(I think I got that right, I better flowchart it to be sure though)

11. Now that they have all the money (and the power it gives them)
Why would they care who gets elected? They're way ahead of us. Any voting distraction on their part will be too keep us occupied since Christmas is going to show us exactly who has the money now.

How many of you are planning to spend your usual amount on Christmas this year?
