How much is a trillion dollars ?
If you had spent $1,369,175 a day -- every day -- since the day Jesus
was born, you would have spent a trillion dollars -- sometime next
year.

Just in time to give the thieves on Wall Street a trillion.

2. If you got paid a dollar a second, 24/7
from the moment you were born, it'd be almost 32,000 years before you were a trillionaire.

3. Try It This Way...

Use the "investors" guide...say you take that $1,000,000,000,000 at 5% interest...here's what you get...

5% of $100k = $5,000 a year (not bad money to sock away for a rainy day)
5% of 1 million = 50k a year (a pretty decent retirement income, should one ever get to that point)
5% of 1 billion = $50 Million a year (the BFEE assets)
5% of 1 trillion = $50 BILLION a year (OFW!!!)

Yet for these people...it's only "numbers"...what's a few trillion among friends?

On edit: my math sucks

5. Last two are off by a zero
Still brain-roastingly huge pots of money, though.

6. Thank You...
Just redid the numbers...Sunday my brain takes the day off...(well most days it does...)

What's even more staggering are the number of hands in that big money pie...not too many.

Cheers...

9. Add back a zero
Now you're lowballing. 50 million and 50 billion. Taxed at the ever-decreasing sweet capital gains rate. It sure pays to be the Indispensable Engines of American finance... like say, Paris Hilton.

:hi:

4. Don't forget about the war in Iraq and the tax cuts for billionaires.
The national debt has doubled during the nightmare of the last 7 years and 9 months, to about $10 trillion. This $860 billion is just part of it.
