Some great Freeper posts out there today
I think the boys over there are finally beginning to realize this isn't their year...

Bush broke the Republican party. The lack of adherence to conservative principles and the inability to communicate a vision for the people that they could get behind left him with 30% approval ratings within 18 months of winning his second term. We can blame all we want on the media but the country has to be really sick and tired of Bush and the lack of Republican leadership in order to vote in Obama. They want to believe in something. A good conservative leader would have made all the difference.

Time for the country to bear the price of W's failures and that means massive debt, democrats in power and a serious decline in our standards. Any other CEO would have been shown the door years ago for selling out his shareholders.

I agree with you, Bush should have resigned this past year for the good of his party...he was a second term disaster...Im looking back and saying to myself, maybe Kerry should had won and let him and a democratic congress be blamed for all this mess...but that’s looking back...

What I want to know is if Gallup is accurate, how can there be an 18-point swing since the GOP convention. They had Mac up 54-44 at that point, now he is down 8? I know the bounce would fade, but has the economic “crisis” really swung that many people towards Obama? Sad....

You hit the nail right on the head.
My voting priority is as follows:
1. Elect Palin, defeat O.
2. Put another nail in the coffin of MSM.
3. Elect McCain.
________________________________________

He failed on spending, he failed on immigration, he failed on leading the party from conservative principles. Oh, and he sucked at presenting a vision for people to follow.

This election is making me think of the film “The Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. People who you thought you knew — people who you thought were intelligent — are poping out of their pods and supporting Obama. Amazing!

Bad News. The Messiah hitting 50% is trouble.

We desperately need to keep the senate losses to a minimum. With a reliable GOP filibuster, we can stop most of the socialist crap Obama will throw out there.
__________________________________________

Look at our debt levels, look at finances and look at the mood of the country. Sorry but things have to be really bad for Obama to be leading in this election and the republican party in such disarray. He’s not solely responsible for this but when his party breaks with him on his bailout plan that says a lot.
__________________________________________

McCain got played by the Dems as did Bush, and thereby all of our geese are cooked this election cycle.

Everytime McCain gets ahead, he does one of these RINO bubblehead moves and the polls go down.

I really don't think he wants to win.

And no matter how positive Rush usually is, he slips and let's his true feelings come through. When he was talking about awful Ifill and her book

4. That was my favorite too.
I can imagine the poor guy looking around all bewildered after Obama wins with so many intelligent people voting for him, wondering why did only the stupid people vote for McCain...uh, oh.

2. Notice how they blame Bush, instead of the bankrupt conservative agenda nt
They still won't admit that it's their stupid neocon ideas that got them into this mess.

5. No doubt...
They blame Bush now, but it's not Bush--it's his rank, Conservative, neocon disaster.

McCain clearly is a continuation of the neocon disaster. More war. A widened war. Absolutely
no clear plan or expertise in economic issues. Remember when McCain initially said that he
didn't know a lot about the economy, during the Republican primary?

The Republican party has become a bastion of radical, bizarre schemes. America rejected
those ideas in the 06 elections, and now they're about ready to kick them to the curb
with this election.

They don't get it. They just don't get it. Look at those comments. They think someone
who was MORE of a wing nut neocon, would have won them the election. They just don't get
that people have seen the results of their snake oil--and they are putting the smack down
on their entire agenda.

6. When are they going to learn
(paraphrasing their Saint Ronnie)

Conservatism isn't the solution to the problem, conservatism IS the problem!

7. This is how they think;
"McCain got played by the Dem's as did Bush, and thereby all of our geese are cooked this election cycle".

To them it's all one big game. The Dem's are not running for office because they want to be the winner of some big 'game'. They are running because they care about the state the country is in. This is what I have noticed is the big difference between the two parties. The Republican's have never had any plans to better the country. They just use gimmicks, scare tactics and hot button phrase to get people fooled, angry or frightened.

being in office with a MAJORITY since 2006:sarcasm: No matter what anyone says, many of us saw how bad it was gonna be when this "mba" got elected.
