The consolidation of wealth will take place whether you like it or not...

You can't stop it. It's too big and either they fucked it up and lost control or it was by design. The players are taking their positions. One perfect example of this is the battle between Citi, Wachovia & Wells Fargo on center stage now. One great big game of monopoly with the endgame including both winners & losers by way of controlled demolition to mitigate the damage caused by the great unwinding and to balance the system back out.

It took us years to get into this mess and it will take years to get out of it. It will require sacrifice on all of our parts from the ground up i,e. we the people, private entities and the government.

How bad can it get? No one knows for sure but the internal fundamentals are worsening by the day and folks need to come to grips with this fact.

The bottom line question to this forum is will you support Barack Obama and his vision and guidance to weave our way through this?

My personal opinion is: I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in realizing they (the bankers) really do "have us by the nut's and nipples." Move it forward so that we can gain the larger majority in the electorate to start setting the policies of Keynesian economic principals and bottom up policies that need to be incorporated into this capitalist free market system, to get us out of this monumental mess and move this country forward.

IF, we find out it is "by design" we are screwn anyway. IF they hoodwinked us we can hire 100,000 ninja's to take them out. :)

Let's move this thing forward

1. ...they really do "have us by the nut's and nipples."
As long as we continue to buy into that illusion, they will.

10. I don't know that I can provide proof...
...what I can say is that if, collectively, we think we're powerless, then we are.

So what are we going to do? We either join the Liberty movement which is now a combined alternative movement of Dems and Conservatives that have come together in order to confront the axis of evil we have defined as the banking, investment bank and hedge fund industry and , quite possibly the NWO OR we come together as Dems , take the bull the horns, continue to do whatever it takes to regain power within the confines of utilizing what we have to work with. If Barack Obama lets us down we will lose to the Liberty movement and the torches and pitchforks come out in force.

It's that simple

14. the proof is in the pudding
But just because someone tries to sell a lie, doesn't mean we have to buy it.

The financial system they've set up requires honest hardworking Americans to be in constant debt to keep the wheels greased. But we're all tapped out, then inflation reaches maximum potential and implosion occurs. The system is fundamentally unsustainable and all the wealth we 'believed' we had gets sucked up to the top 1%. And so the cycle continues, as it has for thousands of years.

But Americans have one silver bullet that any Neocon Fascist or International Banker fears: The Constitution of the Republic of the United States of America.

15. You are absolutely correct....
I supported this bailout full well knowing that this is the case. They ARE scared...that means we actually have the upper hand in the longer term.

The BIG EYE of the people will be key.

....we need to stop playing games....

....our touchy-feely capitalist system is corrupt and broken and needs to be replaced with a more fairer socialist system....we need to hire people who know how to build a socialist economy and elect them to positions of power....

....how many times must we sit on the invisible finger of adam smith before we say, enough....

3. resistance is futile, you will be assimilated.
"The closer work comes to prostitution, the more inviting it is to describe prostitution as work -- as has long been true in the argot of prostitutes. The convergence here proceeds with giant steps under the sign of unemployment; the 'keep smiling' on the job market adopts the behavior of the whore who, on the love market, picks up someone with a smile."

9. Maybe it is time for a re-examination and investigation into the structuring of our society

and the cultural foundation of equality and freedom. Of course this will always be an ongoing process. Once it gets to the point of possible feudalism or slavery its time to step back and take a second look.

If the Democratic movement cannot do it, I promise you the Liberty movement WILL over the medium to longer term.

4. The physical reality is that rebirth can occur only after death.
You are correct, and in concurrence with several religious texts that foretell of a closure to the current cycle (I think its 64,000 years in Hinduism). I know your comments were not in this vein, but it is interesting to consider the cyclical nature of our existence. That's why, when I am on a good spiritual plane none of this stuff bothers me very much. Only when I become trapped in a non-spiritual mindset do I suffer stress because of our social condition..

6. Sad isn't it?....unfortunately psychologically they know this, that is where the
"by design" comes in. Who is the man behind the curtain? Who said that? "Give me control of your money and-------?

5. Two more issues:
There is no question that oversight is key and Obama is right when he uses the word "wisely"

I am re-assured, personally, that there were so many against this i.e. the polarization, that there will be many "eyes" watching.

#2 Although not a "financial expert" I was an individual stock only trader back in 2000-2003. You learn quite a bit regarding the macro and micro side of economics via the internet discussion boards, technical and fundamental analysis and trading real time.

Although I did go through a time of turmoil in my life in between

I also have a lot more posts here than what meets the eye;) I love this place and I love the Democratic Party

Just a little about my background

Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 09:26 PM by gopbuster
I am just saying....feel re-assured, there are others out there, on the losing side who are not happy about this, along with the economists themselves and us.
I have no inside knowledge, but always remember this, the balance shifts. Winners get paid and losers have to pay up. We are on the losing side of this GLOBALLY and it's time to pay up.
