<<FORT LAUDERDALE - For seven hours Thursday, a panel of Broward County jurors weighed the case of two Plantation men accused of killing a sleeping homeless man with a baseball bat and hospitalizing two others.

Circuit Judge Cynthia Imperato sent the seven men and five women home at 4:30 p.m. and asked them to return Friday morning to resume their deliberations.

Less than two hours into Thursday's deliberations, the jurors asked to watch a videotape of Thomas Daugherty, 19, and Brian Hooks, 21, beating up Jacques Pierre at the Fort Lauderdale campus of Florida Atlantic University.>>
