Whoa, Sarah Palin falls in love with a new name. Betcha her next kid just got his moniker!
Cedar Rapids, Ia. — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had a bumpy debut in Iowa today, first misstating the name of the city she was in and then getting loudly interrupted by a small number of protesters.

The Republican vice presidential nominee made her first appearance in Iowa with GOP presidential candidate Arizona Sen. John McCain. She offered a friendly — if a little awkward — hello, as well as a stinging attack at the Democratic ticket on the nation's economic worries....

"It's such a great representation of what America is — hardworking, unpretentious, good Iowa folks who are wanting government to be on their side," said Palin, a former small-town mayor who touts her rural background on the campaign trail.

Palin, who labels herself a hockey mom, also noted Des Moines' new minor league hockey team, the Iowa Chops. "I love the name, the Chops," she said.
