"Lipstick on a Pig" Rove tactic? McCain Campaign reality check?
Do you think that the "lipstick on a Pig" phrase originates from Karl Rove's work contract with McCain? And do you think that it's intention is to call away attention that McCain's Campaign is actually "Lipstick on a Pig" and "smelly old fish" politics as usual? Do you think that everything they throw at Obama is to divert from the public investigating that exact topic in the McCain Campaign? And what can be done about it?

1. It's just desperate stupidity.
Analyzing it will not make it make sense.

2. It is a Rovian lynching tactic .. to be sure: IT REEKS OF ROVE!
Had Obama said that Palin was "cute" or "hot", the response would have been exactly the same. Speaking out about (not just against) Palin, Obama is damned either way. Rove was ready. Rove is playing to the lower socio-economic, "Christian", Republican, and mostly southern white male (and female, to some extent) here. The black man does not violate the white woman, in any way whatsoever, without repercussions .. or so goes the thinking of these racist bastards. Rove was waiting for Obama. Rove knew the opportunity was coming. Rove probably licked his fat, porcine chops watching tapes of Obama attacking Hillary in the primaries.

Rove is the pig in this parable. Verb sap!

4. The McCain campaign doesn't want this race to be about the issues
And the lipstick things fits in with that.
