15000 today in Fairfax, VA
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/10/mccain-palin-draw-big-crowd-in-va/

.. while Barack talks to a group of 25 at a school.

Sorry, but I think he should be trading barbs with McSame. The tables have been reversed and now Gramps and cheerleader are commanding huge audiences while our guy plans intimate gatherings with kids.

Makes you wonder who Obama's handlers are for?

all the time. And we don't know if the count is accurate.

There may be 15000 people at a McCain rally on a Wednesday. But I may be the Queen of England, too. :P

24. True..
.. they just have to grab folks from neighboring Prince William, Loudoun, Faquier, and Clark counties and it's a Republican insta-crowd.

Thanks for making me feel better.

Still wish I could'a been the 101st Dem protester there today (per the M$M).

28. It doesn't make sense. Let's wait and see.
People are losing their homes. They're not going to take the day off to see Caribou Barbie.

This is the same press that said 6 kids from West Virginny were responsible for Abu Graib. :)

And, btw, go Code Pink!

13. Campaign Strategy
Obama is doing smaller events now similiar to how he campaigned in Indiana in the primaries. The campaign is now more targeted and focused. We already know Obama can outdraw everyone in terms of crowds. Right now it is about winning an election and bringing in undecided voters.

2. I don't get that either...
Politics is perception and when people see Obama speaking to 50-100 in a room it does not look good and McShame and Palin are speaking in front of 15,000 people the perception is that publis loves this guy...why has Obama decided to speak in front of small crowds lately? Is it because they do not feel they can draw alot of people anymore?

3. Show me one single wide-angle shot of a mcsame/mooselini crowd. The msm
can't even do it with a freakin' helicopter flying above it. Strictly tight shots.

6. Does McCain really want to make this a contest about who can turn out the largest crowds?
If he does then we can do that. Obama can turn out +100,000 people to a rally if his advance team and field organizers wanted to. In the last week of the campaign, I'm confident we'll see that.

But people need to see Obama in more intimate settings, and not just the stadium rallies. Doing these events gets you local publicity, and Obama is outspending McCain on Virginia TV ads.

7. Obama was in a closed meeting today
which is customary now and then. He has done his share of rallies already and will of course get back to them. 15,000 at an outdoor rally is actually embarrassing.

You might want to think twice before you let the corporate media twirl you like a cheerleader's baton.

Just making a statement and voicing concern.

You don't have to be an ass.

Plus, you know as well as I that the guys running the campaign are probably cut from the same mold as the group schlubs that lost the last two for us.
