Hurricane Ike could be a problem.

It's still way out in the Atlantic but it's headed due west and it's already approaching hurricane force winds with still a lot of warm water to cover before it makes any landfall. The tracking forecast doesn't look real encouraging either.

1. I can only concentrate on one hurricane at a time
and today is Hurricane Sarah's turn. I hear she's making landfall tonight at a Cat 5 or higher. At least, that's what the rumor is.

2. I take it you saw the Daily show last night
If you didn't please head over to Jon's web page. A 'shitstorm' is a coming.

3. No problem.
If Ike makes it to the Tampa Bay area, I'll just employ the tested and true Republican defense.

I'll stick my head into a hole in the ground and shout "la-la-la-la" until it's gone, and everything will be fine.

That seems to be their strategery
of choice whenever a crisis looms.

5. Latest advisory says max wind 140 mph and headed toward Miami/FtLaud.

If it keeps this up a lot of people will be taking a hell of a beating wherever it decides to hit land.

There's a lot of warm water it still has to go over and that's not good. Best wishes to all.
