Are you having trouble streaming C-Span? I am.....

I keep getting a message that I don't have Real Player and I need to install it

BUT

I DO have Real Player and C-Span is refusing to stream for me....

Real Player said it may be that the C-Span website has to much traffic.

I hope so but now I can't watch the convention until later on when it's

on regular network TV. :( (Not cable...) So, can you stream it? Are you in?

2. I did that yesterday and it wouldn't play... maybe it screwed up my RP?

I downloaded and installed everything for that and all I got was video's.... no live stream.

5. I used the tests supplied by RP and my player is fine... I think it's C-Span that's the issue.

That's why I asked if anyone else was able to stream c-span.

9. XP and it's updated but my OS isn't the issue....

I think C-Span is on overload.... it's worked fine all week until today

after I downloaded the SW for that DNCC Gallery 1 HD viewer

if it works then Silverlight screwed your browser set up. Who'da thunk a monopoly would do such a thing.

13. I found the problem !!

I updated Firefox yesterday to Version 3.0.1 and now

my Real Player Browser Record Plug In 1.0 is incompatible with 3.0.1!!

I knew it was a SW glitch!!

Thanks! You made me think harder about the problem to troubleshoot this issue.

I'm heading to Mozilla to find a compatible plug in! ;)

I have to find a new Real Player plug in on Mozilla...

The one I have from Mozilla is incompatible with FireFox 3.0.1 :(

That may be the issue also.

I didn't try to update it... it demanded two days in a row that I do update it and then when I installed that SW for the DNC HD viewer, (silverstruck or something like that) FF snuck in there at the same time and downloaded the update anyways! I've given up for the night. The convention is on PBS now, so I'll suffer through that.
