Star Tribune, along with other news outlets, was sent a Press Release on the National Veterans Convention being held Aug 27-31st. Nationally over 6000 members, and projected 400 VFP along with new organized Iraq Veterans Against the War members.. will attend the Convention.
When local Vets for Peace called to ask if Star Tribune could cover the convention, the Editor told VFP.. we have enough "Peace" stories to conver.
So here is this National Veterans organizaton coming to Bloomington to have their "National" Convention, and Star Tribune doesn't think the Veterans are worth covering.
These are the Veterans tackling Agent Orange, PTSD, Sexual Abuse of Female Soldiers, Torture, both as victim and perpetrator, Struggling for Peace of Mind After an Unjust War, Cluster Bombs and Landmines, GI Rights Hotline, Grieving & Healing, Lessons on Organizing From A Gold Star Family
