Jim Leach speaks honestly as a Republican in favor of Progressivism
Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 09:20 PM by Trajan
And against the excesses of the current GOP government ....

But what are the MSM pundits doing ? ....

Talking OVER him ..... IGNORING him .... Pretending he has nothing to say ...

EVERY fucking channel showing the convention: EVERY one is plastering over his words with their own ....

THIS is how the media denies our message .....

I am fucking PISSED ....

This isnt about ME ..... This is about YOUR neighbors NOT getting the message .....

5. Oh .. I have CSPAN on ...
Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 09:19 PM by Trajan
And I am not the target of his message, for I am already a committed Democrat who needs no persuasion ...

That isnt my point : My point is that those in the TV audience are NOT receiving that message, because the media has decided to cover over it with their own inane commentary that has NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO with what Leach was speaking about ....

Hence: Mom and Pop America heard NOTHING of what he said .... and that is a damned shame ...

Expect more of this: Hearing Bill Bennett drone on and on while Democratic speakers are ignored ....

2. PBS pretty much aired his speech in its entirety
However, It's not hard to imagine all the other channels burying it. Can't show any Republicans breaking ranks, ya know. :eyes:

6. Change to C-SPAN or to the DNCC online...
Unfortunately, the idiot delegates were having conversations at full volume even while Leach was speaking -- it was embarrassing to see that they couldn't sit still and listen to a speech with BORING historical references and praise for Gore, Kennedy...

:grr:

8. Exactly...any dialog here is merely preaching to the choir
Somehow the message needs to get out to the majority who aren't political junkies.

11. EXACTLY ....
WE in DU dont really need to be told about the issues ....

Joe Sixpack needs an education about WHO is defending his interests ....

Apparently; the media thinks Katie Couric (et al) needs to speak to them instead ....

10. Sorry - I thought you were complaining that you had wanted to hear Leach but
missed him because you were tuned into a network that cut away.

I didn't mean any insult to you.

I DID mean to insult the dumb delegates who can't clamp their mouths shut long enough to listen to him.

12. Copy that ....
No insult existed ...

Just frustrated that the Democratic message isnt getting out, and this is our moment: If the media chooses to plaster over our speakers in prime time coverage .. then no one is getting the message ....

That is fucked up ...

13. i hope media matters is keeping track of this - bet the corp media won't
be talking over Lieberman when he speaks at the convention of evil, and I bet more of the repuke speakers will be allowed to be heard by the tv talking heads.
