3. Fuck, I am in the UCF area , and I have no idea if it is prone to
flooding.

The wind was so mild yesterday I allowed myself to run out of water.

9. Draw a five mile circle around Blanchard Park and stay away.
UCF itself sits on a hill about 10' above the 100 year mean, the areas to the south and east are low. It's the Little Econ drainage basin. If Fay sits in on us like Donna it might be the year that developers get sued because they did know, Waterford Lakes was known for the web-footed cattle that used to reside there.

We live off 436 between 50 and underhill sset back on a lake. We had sustained 30-40mph winds last nite with gusts to 55. I have small branches down and a roof leak but otherwise ok. I am sick of this. I wish she would move on out of here.

18. That's almost mountain top for that side of town.
Chapman runs downhill to the west and Alafaya runs downhill to the north. How's the view from up there?

I'm in Casselberry myself.

Lives on Sykes Creek, in between the Indian and Banana Rivers. Merritt Island.

Florida Today is doing some good coverage for Brevard County, and give those of us who are "native Brevardarians (I was born there) a way to keep track from 5000 miles away.

Trumad, stay safe. Karma and prayers heading your way, too.

7. it could be worse
Fernandina Beach in Florida once got 39 inches of rain in one day. Strangely, this was not reported on the national news, only in the local paper. A tropical storm was forming right there when this happened.

The flooding has gone down here (to the south in Delray Beach).

During Frances (who sat off the coast for 72 hours and gave us the record for the most number of consecutive hours under a hurricane warning), the flooding was so bad that people were using boats to move around the streets.

My thoughts are with you!

13. She looks determined to dump water on the whole state!
And this was "just a tropical storm", "over-hyped" and "people shouldn't panic for a TS"... :eyes:

North of here definitely got it worse than we did. Our flooding only just went above the curbs. Nothing like those pictures.

22. You clearly remember the first thread which suggested that
peeps in Florida start watching this storm. Sometimes it's best to laugh because those comments are rarely made by people who face these storms annually.
