Is McCain war story plagiarism getting any coverage in MSM??
Edited on Mon Aug-18-08 12:06 PM by marylanddem
Just asking -

The coincidence of that lying, plagiarizing McConehead and the author he professes to admire sharing the same
cross-in-the-sand event (without McConehead ever having mentioned this astounding
coincidence)is beyond implausible - it's impossible

8. Would MSNBC even let Olbermann touch this?
The McCain-as-POW issue seems to be a sacred cow.

9. Somehow I think Olbermann is unfettered.../Olbermann's email?

I have been searching for an email address to him but KOlbermann@msnbc bounced back. Anybody else have one?

11. i also found the story on daily kos
but i still haven't found the reference to what mccain said? did he tell the same story? i'm pretty sure it was bullshit, and i'm glad someone who is familiar with both references is calling him on it.

5. Thom Hartmann is talking about it. Even read the original published
story. Thon also said that the story keeps morphing. When McNut told it 5 years ago, he told it about another soldier. This time it was about a guard!

6. Things like this usually
need to percolate on line for a few days...the msm wants to make sure people are really interested before they pic it up.

7. If you read between the lines, the McCain campaign is practically daring someone to do so.
That recent defense of the Cone of Silence -- NOT! doesn't make much sense otherwise. Why would the spokesperson invoke McCain's POW status as a reason McCain wouldn't cheat unless they want Obama to go there.

10. And if it had been Obama who was suspected of plagerism...
... the "story" would have been repeated/promoted 24/7 by the MSM.

12. It isn't plagerism.
It is a blatant lie. It is pathetic that he would use this to gain acceptance of the RWing Fundies.
