How come the media never reports this McCain affair?

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/us/politics/21mccain.html?_r=2&ei=5090&en=3771104adb81623d&ex=1361250000&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&pagewanted=print&adxnnlx=1203559296-IzFl0kGv9SlkJQ9KtuQRog&oref=slogin

A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s client, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.

Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.

Vicki Iseman, what ever happened to her?

3. Because the media doesn't give as much attention to McCain as
They do the Celebrity Democrats.

4. If we didn't have a pro-Republican media, it would have been very natural to ask about Iseman
when talking about Edwards' affair. Iseman and Hensley. Even just as an asked & answered kind of statement. Like, JSM III had his affair with Cindy that he's admitted, and then there was the speculation about the petite blonde lobbyist Vicki Iseman...

If we had a more balanced media, this story would have been part of the conversation. Even if they'd have to say that no evidence of a sexual liaison surfaced, although Iseman won special favors for her clients and McCain staffers worried about the closeness of the relationship.

5. so the Daily News isn't part of the media?
This story was reported. Denials were made. There was no evidence that I ever saw that indicated that they had a "romantic" relationship. Maybe they did, but because they say they didn't and there isn't anyone who can say they did, the story morphed into one about having a close relationship with a lobbyist.

6. Um, I remember reading/hearing about Vicki Iseman for quite a long time
When that story broke. BTW, I don't remember there being clear cut evidence of McCain having a sexual relationship with her either.
