I just saw this on CNN last night. Apparently this happened last May, but I'd not seen it until now. These fucking cops should do jail time. I'm starting to hate cops, and I view ALL of them as repressed thugs, and bullies. Why are most of them bald? Oh right, that's so they can look menacing and intimidating...

2. OK, I watched the video. Why aren't the union reps calling for ongoing training or stress manage-

ment. It's obvious, whatever this particular guy was yelling at them, that this had less to do with him, than a bunch of pent-up aggression. It's ridiculous. These guys need help. We keep seeing these stories, time after time, and noone does anything! Where are the fucking professionals?

5. I got to know a lot of cops in 25 years of nursing

and most of them are guys who are doing a tough job and seeing people at their absolute worst most of the time. I tend to cut them a lot of slack whenever I can.

However, there are bad cops and cops who lose it when they're having a bad day. Those need to be weeded out and kicked off any police force that finds them stuck with bad cops. They need to face consequences for assault just like everybody else does. Good cops need to stop protecting them because they end up getting the same bad name, eventually, as your post shows.

During the last eight years, there has been little in the way of consequences, even for clear incidents of police brutality like this one. The DoJ has not been pursuing civil rights violation cases like this one, DHS and ICE are running expensively amok, courts are monuments to rubberstamping, prosecutors are using "head counts" and their offices as springboards for higher office and narrow ideologies and we have a mindless revenge system. Justice is the least of their concerns, for all the braying they do about it.

It's really about simply filling the jails with minorities and the poor, beating them down.

That's as bad as saying that all people of a certain race are lazy, stupid, or whatever. And I'm bald, but it's because of genetics. Please do not pass judgement on all cops so quickly. Nor on bald guys.
