What did Christ Lehane and Donnie Fowler Know about Edwards, and when did they know it?
I am only putting up this thread, because there are some here who are espousing that the Obama Camp may have had something to do with Edwards dropping out prior to Super Tuesday, and it may have had to do with the current scandalous revelation by John Edwards.
(poster is posting quotes from another site)
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=3761127&mesg_id=3761166

Here, in this thread, I am simply offering an alternative "Theory".....since that is all that those spreading aspersions on the Obama camp are doing. At least my finger pointing is backed by something, although it is not much at all.

All in all, I'd prefer that we move away from these kinds of accusations altogether....but for those who might insist their own theory at other website in injecting something untoward on the part of the Obama camp, I'd figure that I would weigh in here.

Here's the story the day before the Edwards infidelity scandal broke:

prominent Democrats -- by name -- who urge Edwards to more convincingly confront allegations by the National Enquirer, which he has denied, that he had an affair and that his alleged mistress bore a child by him.

If he does not meet this challenge, these Democrats say, he risks losing a high-profile slot as a convention speaker.

"If there is not an explanation that’s satisfactory, acceptable and meets high moral standards, the answer is 'no,' he would not be a prime candidate to make a major address to the convention," Don Fowler, who headed the Democratic National Committee from 1995-97, told the newspaper.

Chris Lehane, a key Al Gore aide during the 2000 presidential campaign, added that "an appearance at the convention would only highlight the unresolved story."

Last I checked both Donnie Fowler and Chris LeHane worked for the Clinton campaign.

I recall clearly that Edwards dropped out of the primaries days before Super Tuesday, and to many of his supporters, it seemed quite surprising and somewhat sudden, and his explanation not quite satisfactory to quite a few, who still pondered why drop out days before the Sooper Dooper Tuesday, i.e., the largest number of primaries?

Following that, there were many rumors that Edwards was going to endorse Hillary Clinton.....some reported by Corporate stooge journalist Mark Halperin....although it didn't happen that way.

Surprisingly to many considering the buzz, Edwards, late in the game and after it would do Obama little good endorsed Obama.

I don't know what, but there is something that smells....as far as my intuition goes. Please note that I have quite an accurate intuition, as evidenced based on past predictions threads of mine, etc....

My next prediction?
Edwards' failings will resurface similar failings on the part of John McCain. I am currently "working" on making this happen.

6. Like I said, I am offering an alternative theory to the folks
who are attempting to pin it on the Obama camp.

And like I said, making speculations is easy.......
in fact, anyone can do it.

You are therefore not understanding the spirit of my post.

Except for not bringing this crap up, even when Russert brought up Lewinsky AGAIN in the 'debate' he 'moderated'.

5. I just remember Chris LeHane as being the guy that shopped
the "Kerry has an Intern problem" rumor back in 2004,

and the guy that unearthed the "Howard Dean in Canada dissing Iowa Caucuses" video that quite hurt Howard Dean in Iowa, during the 2004 primaries, right before the caucuses....that led to him coming in 3rd place, and led to the media's recording of his Iowa caucus night speech.

7. Chris Lehane has ALWAYS worked for Clintons. He was a disaster 'serving' Gore and
just happened to be the fuckup who 'lost' his computer he left in an open car in SF with Kerry's campaign info in it. He was pushed out from Kerry's camp and ended up in Clark's campaign where he pushed Clark to attack Kerry with the 'mistress' lie that was being pushed around the NH primaries. Clark wisely backed away from doing so.

10. This is a VERY dangerous path to tred, and I hope people stop immediately
Whether Obama had a hand in this or not I hope people drop this right now.

Edwards is not a candidate, not an office-holder, will not be a part of the convention or the campaign and probably has no political future. Even for the most vengeful Edwards-haters, this should slake the thirst for revenge.

As he said, he'll do whatever Senator Obama desires, but it seems pretty certain right now that it will be to be elsewhere and be there quietly.

Stories like this only gain traction because of the small-minded fascination the human creature has with "outing" people. Obama has been presented as someone "above" standard politics, and with each passing day it's obvious that he IS a politician and has engaged in some very bare-knuckled politickin' in the past. This will cause enough damage and we shouldn't fuel the fire.

I'm sorry Edwards did this, I'm sorry it came out, and I and many others are willing for party unity to drop it and give up our dreams here and now. Hopefully others will do the same, but if it's repeatedly brought up, it will harm the ticket. I hope others can see it the same way.

11. I agree that assigning blame to other campaigns
for John Edwards' personal behavior is silly.

I was just attempting to keep things at an even keel, sorta speak.
