House conservatives boo veterans organizations who urge a clean military funding bill
from ThinkProgress:

House conservatives boo veterans organizations who urge a clean military funding bill.»

On Friday, the House considered a bill providing needed funding to veterans and military organizations. House conservatives tried to attach an offshore oil drilling amendment to the bill, threatening its passage. Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Chet Edwards (D-TX) denounced the tactic. When he read statements from veterans groups urging Congress not to meddle with the legislation, House conservatives booed. Despite the Republicans’ stunts, the House passed the bill.

1. I think I caught some of that
It was a great way to get my blood pressure going in the morning. And to top that, the Repukes are still crying in the House chamber because they did not get to vote to drill.

6. Disabled American Veterans support a "clean bill"
I'm a life member of the DAV and they've been all over this issue.

And in each newsletter/publication I get from them they lament the hypocritical politicians who use veterans only when it's politically expedient.
