Washington Post Scrubs Own Story Questioning Case Against 'Anthrax Killer'

Washington Post Scrubs Own Story Questioning Case Against 'Anthrax Killer'

After a Friday story from Washington Post raised series questions about the ability of Bruce Ivins to have carried out the anthrax attacks -- he reportedly "had no access to dry, powdered anthrax," according to experts quoted in their report -- the paper inexplicably spiked their article, without explanation or notice, and replaced it with a wholly different story. Yet, on Sunday, the paper revived the same troubling questions. What the hell is going on here?

3. Brad, Brad, Brad, move along nothing to see here
After all CNN is doing a "great job" getting all the facts out .....
and just because there will be no autopsy or that this "closes the
case" what are you a conspiracy nut?

Kinda like Ray Lemme, or David Kelly, or James Skilling, or the
D.C. Madam or Jim Webb's aid, or those Air Force People who
all killed themselves, or Marvin Bush's maid, or ....

move along nothing to see here ... move along.

7. That's what I thought...
...when I covered that point originally late Friday.

That they subsequently scrubbed the report (only to cover it again in a different story today) is *really* getting bizarre. Please spread the underreported word, as usual!

8. Brad – I’ve worked on the machines that Dry Pharmaceuticals
They are huge and very very expensive. Basically forces the liquid out under huge pressure.

When this guy is telling you, Ivins didn’t have the means to dry the liquid anthrax – he means IVINS DIDN’T HAVE THE MEANS TO DRY THE ANTHRAX.

Besides that – don’t they also need to put some kind of special coating on it so it can fly? I remember some “Expert” talking about it on 1 of the News channels. Some thing about “it has to be screened to be the right size and then coated so it can become airborne”

9. Also...
...apparently dry anthrax is illegal for country's to even have, under international chemical warfare conventions and internal law. Looking into that aspect a bit in the bargain.

Hmmm...

6. I was shocked to hear that NPR was covering it with talk that included the subject of doubts.
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 07:43 PM by higher class
I didn't start listening in time, so I can't add details, but several times today I heard them say something to make me question which station I was listening to. I am one who can't bear to listen to news on NPR during the week since they turned right. I get it on the weekend because I like the other programs. Maybe weekend news is the old NPR? Investigative. Questioning in a neutral way.

11. Operation Mockingbird... again
Evidence of a power struggle behind the scenes, shooting across somebody's bow.

There's no accident or happenstance when coverage is scrubbed. Doubly so when it is scrubbed but then reappears.

My theory: Too many microbiologists (those who haven't been killed: google "dead microbiologists") must be raising serious legitimate questions. And they won't let it die. So the WaPost/etc. must issue a C.Y.A. story.

Funny how COINTELPRO and Operation Mockingbird works.

13. May be a battle going on to get a bit of truth out --- ???
Haven't actually read the articles yet ---

As for "motives" --- not to be mentioned --- only slanted reports about the behavior

of the victim, i.e., Bruce Ivins.
