For Sampson, Hiring At DOJ Was All Republicans All The Times
By Andrew Tilghman - July 28, 2008 - http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/07/for_sampson_hiring_at_doj.php

The highest-ranking official flagged for breaking federal law in today's Department of Justice Inspector General's report was Kyle Sampson ....

In one case, Sampson pushed a prospective judicial candidate who was supported by White House political director Karl Rove.

Regarding that candidate, whose name was not disclosed, Kevin Ohlson, then deputy director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, told the IG's investigators that he was "fully aware of the fact" that Sampson was pushing Rove's pick and that was effecting the formal evaluation.

"The finger was on the scale," Ohlson said.

That candidate was ultimately appointed to be an immigration judge in October 2005, the report said.

When questioned, Sampson said he thought the Immigration judges were political appointees .....

1. And, once again, Conyers and Pelosi will act pissed off and
let him off the hook.

4. Wow... when the best defense they can come up with is "I'm incompetent",
it's a wonder any of them aren't in jail already.

5. Lawyer Brad Berenson says Sampson made an "honest" mistake.
How has that one has played in courts of law, counsel?

8. Can everyone hired after 2000
be fired? It seems like the only way to fix this. I'm not saying people can't be rehired, but it will have to be on merit, not political views.

10. I predicted that would be necessary on Junta Day, 2000.12.12.
When Bush stole the Presidency, I told a friend, "Everything they do from here forward will have to be reviewed, every judge, every law... everything."

You cannot just sandwich a Junta into a democracy and allow what they do to just stand once the Junta has been undone.

The best place to start is the Nov. election. Send every Republican Congressperson in the Nation packing their bags for home, unless they denounce Bush's criminality publically.
