The people at the top have to be scared shitless.
I have a feeling that they appreciate how badly everything has been going, and how much worse it is about to get. The people look to them for the answers, and they don't have them. This is an accident. If only this was so planned, but it ain't, they've just fucked up. The big chill is about to come, and the party is about to end. The sirens are sounding for the category 5 shitstorm headed for the US economy.

1. They Aren't Scared Enough
This country is one matchstick from revolution--a French style revolution--if the corruption and criminality don't get punished starting with the election and continuing until there is no more.

The people on the top miscalculated their escape timing, or didn't plan one, because they never thought that the geese laying those golden eggs would eventually turn on them. The power of numbers was always an abstraction. Their numbers, the $$$$, would always prevail, they thought. Well, they are discovering that it ain't so. Sheer numbers of people, many of them armed, will trump any amount of $$$. The people on top might want to rethink the 2nd amendment, next time they get a chance.

11. The looting was legalized under Reagan, Bush I and Clinton
and has escalated to epic proportions under the current fools. No, they didn't think it would last forever, not after the writing on the wall appeared during the Enron fiasco. However, they expected it to last long enough for them to steal enough to ride out the calamity that is sure to follow.

The ultra rich now lead such separate lives serviced with such a separate infrastructure that we never see them, never really know who they are or where they live. What we think of as the rich are their top hirelings, the multimillion dollar a year corporate management. Those are the guys we'll turn on, completely missing all their string pullers who live behind large stands of trees and hedges, completely invisible except for the occasional trail their private jet leaves high in the sky.

Their numbers will go down, but they will still emerge obscenely wealthy, ready to buy the government as soon as the next batch of simpletons who don't know what they've done before comes along.

19. If the repukes steal this election, there is only one possible response

Thousands of heads should roll, including those of the "Democratic" enablers who let this happen rather than stand on principle.

4. Oh yeah. They fucked up. But they are not about to admit it. I don't look
to them for shit. They are nothing but a pack of thieves in suits and ties.

The party is going to end alright - for those of us whose income is lower than the top 1%. The 1%'ers will simply leave the country till it blows over.

5. Surely you never believed...
That the Patriot Act and Homeland Security were about
protecting US, did you?

It has always been about protecting THEM from us.
And planned?
Go back and study some Trilateral Commission and CFR
documents.
It most certainly was planned.

9. Yeah. What the robber barons didn't plan on was the power of the internet
to help their wage-slaves to connect the dots.

This connectivity is our ace in the hole. There are disclosures coming that will blow the information gap between shadow govmt ops, regular government ops and We The People wide open.

I think Bernanke & Co are extremely nervous right now. Too many loose ends twisting in the wind...

7. Read "Shock Doctrine"...
This is NO accident. If they destroy the economy and the infrastructure and the schools and the safety net and the .... well, you get the picture... the Chicago School feels that pure capitalism will finally be achieved.

Read the book... maybe the pee will run down your leg like it did mine.

We are well and truly fucked!

20. Indeed they do.
I live down the street from one of those places. I actually had a relative who lived there. It really wasn't all that great for what they had to pay, but I guess the security is why it was so much.

They simply don't have that kind of mental state within themselves.

15. "Accident?" Sorry, I don't agree. Law of Unintended Consequences, maybe.
Many have made out like the proverbial bandits they are. Scared shitless, too, no doubt.

But accidental? Sorry, I don't think so.
