Mika's Brzezinski"s Fine Whine: A companion thread...
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 06:23 AM by PCIntern
Hey Mika...stop with the after-the-fact "that's not nice..." and "Ohhhhh...." and "Don't do that...".

You sound like someone's high-school girlfriend in the back seat of a car.

7. That's her dad. And you are right; I saw him smack her down a few weeks
ago when he was on the show. Joe interviewed him and she didn't say a word. At the end of the interview mister zbig said to her, "You were good. You were silent."

I would HATE being his kid...

8. Ever read the NYT Mag article
by Haldeman's son? It was VERY revealing...most interesting was the part about the multiple times that very handsome young men had losing business propositions funded by H.R. ...quite a revelation.

12. Men making her feel inferior?
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 08:18 AM by TexasObserver
Everyone, not just men, makes her feel inferior, because she's a weak talent in a family where there are a number of people who can find their ass with both hands, unlike her. She's simply a no talent who has capitalized on her dad's name, reputation and contacts.

She has no business on anything other than a non political gab fest. The VIEW is too ethereal for Mika. Sometimes feelings of inferiority are warranted, and in Mika's case, that's certainly true. It doesn't have anything to do with "men," however. It has to do with her weak, weak skills and the fact that she's window dressing on a political show.

13. I gather she's not your favorite?
FOX is in a class by itself as far as simpering stupid newsreaders/commentators are concerned. Mika got the job at NBC b/c she has a 'serious' look about her which belies her inanity.

It's a shame b/c if she were bright, she'd be the real deal. But she ain't. And she ain't.

15. The news organs don't promote serious female journalists.
Chris Jansen on MSNBC has long been the best female they have to offer. She's a quality news person, and they have diminished her role while building up such women as Mika and Contessa Brewer. Why? Because Chris Jansen is a serious news person who doesn't try to make herself look like she's a sex symbol of some kind.

The news channels have actively discouraged women from being real reporters, like Ashleigh Banfield. They want gossip, even in the "Hard" news. They want glitz and glamor, not substance, and it shows in the on-air talent.

Women in news are taking a beating.

10. She's the most annoying woman in all of news.
And that's saying a lot.

Her teen age girl act is disgusting. She's what, 40-45 years old? She acts like her silly comments are appropriate. I expect her to break out with Valley Girl comments and start smacking her gum half the time.

She's an embarrassment. She has no substance.

14. They'd be so proud of today's news corps.
Fox makes all their on air women bleach blondes who look like they're ready to work at SCORES.

CNN has gone with the red hair theme for some of its female on air reporters.

MSNBC makes celebrity stories a core of their daytime "news" programming.

They're Lilliputians, standing on the shoulders of giants who came before them.
