need some poll help here

Gallup spokesperson claims McShame & Obama are tied at 44%, whether they count "registered" or "likely" voters.

In the meantime I'm hearing that Obama is up (in some cases WAY up) in most polls...

Is Gallup the outlier? Is that why he gets airtime?
