Contratulations Bush - DOW Is Now Below High Reached Under Clinton
Edited on Thu Jun-26-08 05:20 PM by Median Democrat
Under Bill Clinton, the Dow reached about 11,600 in October 1999, and fluctuated a bit for the next year before Clinton left office. Now, at 11,400, we are now officially BELOW the DOW high reached under Bill Clinton. This does not even take into account the impact of inflation. So, this is the great impact of Bush economics? What happened to the magical effect of tax cuts? And, John McCain is promising more of the same?

Perhaps the Fed will again lower interest rates, which will depress the dollar, which will lead to a spike in oil prices, which will again cause the economy to stall. However, god forbid that we do something Keynsian like invest in infrastruture because that would be Big Government!

Sadly, the Faux News and the other Big Media outlets will again give John McCain a free pass, rather than press him to explain what went wrong, and how can he defend Bush's handling of the economy.

they claim all that is shit is actually gold. Republicans, conservatives - synonyms for pathological liars.

3. It always happens at the end of a Bush era....The economy goes in the crapper,
thanks to the excesses of Voodoo economics. And then they leave the mess for the Dems to clean up.

4. Yes it is still is not at the low reached under George Dubya during his first 18 months
...in office when the DOW lost some 2000 points

But remember that first comes a stock market crash and then war. This may be the set up for bombing Iran
