The perks, the position, the image, the limelight, the parties, the hob-nobbing, the campaign donations, and the wheeling and dealing. I doubt Nancy thinks enough about America's interests to really take time to hate it. Fortunately, there are still brave individuals in our Congress like Linda and Loretta Sanchez who voted no, even though they represent much more conservative parts of California than Pelosi. Courage and selflessness in a politician has always been a rare trait and it's extremely rare in our Democratic leadership.
