Should bin Laden surrender and plea bargain down to writing an offensive book?
If he surrenders in Iran, then he could get the death penalty. However, if he surrenders in the UK then he would go free unless they get him for defamation.

2. I believe James Baker is going to represent bin Laden, and...
...ask that he get to testify under a Rove Oath.

3. They better not "find" him during the Democratic Convention.....I've been wondering
if they would play that nasty card.

4. Probably right about the UK
given that even the FBI do not have him on their most wanted list as there is apparently nothing which actually ties him to 9/11.

7. While I don't doubt forcing him to go on Imus and hawk his book would be *A* form of punishment...
... it's probably not adequate punishment for murdering 2900 people. I'd like to see him on trial--either a regular NY jury or an international Nuremburg-style tribunal. I doubt there's a book tour in his future.
