2. And he's dead now, so maybe a little more respectful rhetoric would be the way to go?
At least the classy way. I'm not saying that you have to re-write history or buy into the ovations, but be mindful of the fact that the person you are throwing all that invective toward is now DEAD. Maybe silence is the best option until the media attention fades.
Too often the very real impacts that one has caused are all of sudden forgotten and whitewashed away simply because this person dies. What's worse is the very real suffering that he has in part caused is ongoing.
Add to this that the historical revisionists are at this moment trying to be "classy" in their wrongful portrayal of this cretin and thusly disguising the history at large so it is incumbent upon us to discuss this quite frankly and with the mercy deserved which in this case is very little if any.
Tim Russert deserves zero respect. He was despicable. The US media who have pumped the war propaganda into our ears every day are as guilty as the German propagandists.
You are clearly either preaching to the choir, which does nothing. Or you are alienating those of us who are simply and understandably uncomfortable with speaking so ill of the dead. I am learning nothing from this conversation and it doesn't seem like anyone else is either, which leads me to think that your post (and the multitude of similar posts by others) is nothing more than the equivalent of a virtual temper tantrum.
13. Geeeeezzz... Could you have let the guy get buried first?
I cringed sometimes when listening to what I considered were silly questions or answers on his shows BUT I think he worked hard at trying to open some things up and I admire him for it. He was a good break in the status quo for MSN political shows and I will miss him.
