What the hell is this "Brown Note" (aka shit ray) Fox is...
talking about?

(Did I get redirected to the Onion?)

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/06/10/activists-preparing-against-use-of-brown-note-at-dem-convention/

Political activists planning protest rallies at the upcoming Democratic Convention in Denver have their stomachs in knots over a rumor about a crowd control weapon - known as the “crap cannon” - that might be unleashed against them.

Also called “Brown Note,” it is believed to be an infrasound frequency that debilitates a person by making them defecate involuntarily.

2. It's a weapon that was effectively deployed against terrorists

in Oklahoma....

The only problem was that they were actually a world-wide gathering of Recorder players and the terrorists were on South Park

12. Possibly....
but I doubt if they'll get it done before the convention. Furthermore, the dipshits at FOX news actually think it's real...

10. "There is no scientific evidence to support the claim"
That does not mean, however, that your government is not currently spending millions of taxpayer dollars on research in this area, in the hopes that one day it may produce a weapon that can be used against you.

3. South Park did it.
http://www.southparkstuff.com/season_3/episode_317/

Episode 317 - Worldwide Recorder Concert
The class is asked to join schoolchildren from around the nation to participate in playing "My Country Tis of Thee" in Oklahoma City. The boys run into some boys from New York, who taunt them for being such white-trash kids. The boys decide to find the brown noise and then use that to make the New Yorkers crap in their pants. Since this concert is being broadcast worldwide, the New Yorkers won't be the only ones crapping!

6. Looks like Cartman got a good job in weapons
development. (The South Park episode was the first thing I thought of, too.)

8. I think the activists should take advantage of that.
It would work nicely with the "Bushit" t-shirts and signs.

Then when they deploy the shit ray, everybody drops their drawers and lets it fly. Perhaps somebody could wheel in one of those huge industrial fans even.

That would teach the bastards.

13. Suposedly it's the "God note" played at high volume.
The "God note" being a 14 cycle note on some church organs that puts the "fear of god" into churchgoers.

It induces feelings of apprehension. Anyone familiar with a good bass amp will know the general feeling.

14. That's apprehension you're going to blow out your amp, dude
No, no, come on, people. Think for a second. You know how much FUN we could have with this?

Someone needs to go out and get an old Volkswagen van, and fill it from end to end with racks of equipment out of a used, preferably Soviet so no one can read the data plates, submarine. We'll then get a Civil Defense horn--Jake and Elwood had one on the roof of their car in The Blues Brothers--for the roof. We could either paint it brown or wrap it with a design consisting of a lot of little brown ovals. We put the words "Brown Note" on it, and we park it outside the Republican National Convention hall.
