2. Today its not much more - Jet engine starter is $500, the rest off the shelf
an additional motor speed regulation circuit is only Tech item besides the fact "Dave has rigged up a regenerative braking circuit which- in effect-turns the drive motor into a generator, to feed the batteries when the vehicle is decelerating." plus his picking up a pulser (a combination of a reworked car generator and an old fan motor) to prevent the initial 300-amp surge melting his relays. I like the lawn mower engine - a Briggs & Stratton engine that turns at a fixed rate and can generate 100 amps at about 28-1/2 volts.

Now where do I get an cheap Opel from a General Motors dealer and the $25 for MotherEarth News so they will send me a copy of the actual plans/procedure to make the change - and why do they car $10,000 to do the change at the shops around Boston?
