3. Don't forget Wexler. He's Cosponsor.
The rest are corrupt and self serving.

4. Thanks for that!
I'm TV-free here, and have to rely on short video clips for much of this stuff. I had no idea that such complete coverage was available on-line!

5. YW, I called this morning after there were no matches using the
search feature. They said it was there, it is just that the search feature does not search that particular archive and they told me how to find it, an hour or so later it was on the front page.

How to use the C-Span Video library

Enjoy :)

http://c-span.org/

From the front page click on Video/Audio at the top.

In the drop down box click on C-Span Video library at the bottom.

http://www.c-spanvideo.org/

Now click on Congress at the top.

http://www.c-spanarchives.org/congress/

Now use the calendar at the right to pick a date, in this case it was 6/9/2008.

http://www.c-spanarchives.org/congress/?q=node/69850&date=2008-6-9

And then scroll down to the time, it was 21:20 and you will see "Kucinich, notice of intention to offer resolution..."

Click on Kucinich and it will bring up the video and text

*********OR*********

Click on any other name to see any other video.

Also I just noticed the column on the right which lists all the speakers that day, click on the blue number in the column and you will get a selection of videos and text for that day and that speaker.

6. Speaking for myself (and probably most if not all others here),
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 03:57 PM by pnorman
I say once more: THANKS!!

On edit: Being TV-free (for over a decade!), may sound like a snooty affectation, but it's a definite PLUS for me (as long as I have reliable internet connections). I probably don't get the close details that TV viewing would yield, but on the whole, I'm probably better off. And I have that much more time & energy available for internet work.

7. You're most welcome, being TV free is probably a great thing
maybe we'll try it.

:scared:

Also posted it in the Congress forum

and in GD for others to see

I had no idea on how to find all these clips.

8. When you said "we", the household demographics changed dramatically.
I'm living alone, and each and every item in my (cramped) studio apartment, is for MY convenience/pleasure alone.

A couple, especially one with children, would be an entirely different matter. But scaling TV viewing down to a carefully schedule of quality programs, would probably be a great improvement. I know of more than a few households, where the TV is on continuously from early morning to past midnight. It's mainly background sound, and they seem to be oblivious to it. But if someone abruptly shuts it off, they'll become upset. I won't call that "sick", but it isn't quite "healthy" either.

9. Morning pnorman, yes it does change the picture dramatically...
I've been poking around the cspan site a bit this morning.

In addition to using the calendar, they also have a list of representatives and their appearances from 2001 to the current date.

http://www.c-spanarchives.org/congress/

Click "View full list" and then any members name for details.

If you find any other details would you post them in the Congress forum thread so they do not get lost.
