Delusional LTTE claims media is in Obama's camp
I wonder if they get their news from anywhere beyond Rush & Fox News? Please add a comment if you wish.
>>>

Reading the June 4 Associated Press article <"McCain And Obama: Polar Opposites"> confirms that the media are in the tank for Sen. Barack Obama.

Although the article generally identifies the polar differences between the two candidates, the prejudice slipped out in a major way. The story states that the biggest question about Sen. Obama is: "Will Obama be able to overcome the country's unsavory history of slavery and lingering bigotry that deeply divides the public to be elected the first black president?"

So, if Sen. Obama is not elected, anyone who voted against him is a bigot. Oh, please! Obviously Sen. Obama has set a historic mark by claiming the Democratic nomination. In the general election, we have to treat him as we would treat any other politician. As voters, we have to listen to the depth of the answers and evaluate the differences in the candidates.

Although I understand that there is a small percentage of voters who will not vote for a black man, I believe that if Sen. Obama loses, it will be because the voters did not approve of his liberal positions — and absolutely not because the voters are all bigots.

1. Well, isn't that a valid question?
It doesn't say the anyone who does not vote for him is a bigot. There IS a lingering racist element in this country, which may cost Obama some votes (which may or maynot effect the outcome of the election).

I would hope that would not be the case in this election.

2. The letter writer said
that the way the question is phrased means the media is in the tank for Obama.

3. Two points
1. Obama's campaign has been so flawless that they haven't HAD anything "negative" to report on him. Rezko was put away quickly (facts sure come in handy) and of course the press manufactured the Rev.Wright nonsense (to no real effect thank you).

2. the press is lily lily white at the top and throughout almost all of management. They are PETRIFIED of mishandling "talking about the black guy", they don't know how to talk about him.
