The court, by a 7-2 vote, said a provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1866 covers claims of retaliation that follow complaints about discrimination on the basis of race.

Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas dissented.



My God! Justices Scalia and Thomas are just the 2 biggest tools ever, in my opinion.

The greatest lever of opinion on the SCOTUS is HISTORY - most Justices really don't want history to judge them as small minded synchophants enthralled to the interests of the day, although there are always a few notable exceptions.
