1. I caught it
I was trying to figure out why the DVR wasn't recording TDS. I tuned in just in time. That is priceless.

5. Bring your sleeping bag
We're going to have a houseful but I will definitely save room for you.

The house is coming together. Now that spring is here, I've been able to get a lot done both inside and out. I've been missing KO at 8 o'clock because I've been outside working on the yard and the garden. I found a sidewalk to one of the sheds. It's overgrown but I'm digging it out.

The landlord/next-door neighbor likes the work I've been doing on the yard. She was pretty impressed that I started most of my garden from seeds. I used some plastic strawberry containers to start them. I put a layer of rocks on the bottom and then lined it with some paper coffee filters. Then I put some in some potting soil and planted the seeds. I spritzed them with water and then shut the lid. Viola, mini-terrariums! I'm still hardening off some of the plants but I should have everything I grew from seed in the garden by Monday.

I also found a great thrift store about a mile away. I got a vacuum cleaner for $9. I've gotten a few rugs and other stuff too. I was so upset that I had to leave so much stuff behind in Kansas. My stepdaughter and my brother were still at the house and we left them a bunch of furniture, pots, pans, beds, etc. Since I've found the thrift store I've been able to replace some of the stuff with almost identical stuff. It sure makes it feel more like home. By the time you get here, I should have the house as together as I ever will.

6. Did you know the dirt under your fingernails makes your nails
more durable? It's the truth! Not to mention the joy being outside, making your little part of the world just a little bit nicer and prettier, for you. I'm happy you're happy! And as for 'stuff', that's all it is. See, you've already replaced it. At least loved ones are enjoying.

As for me in January, I'm so tempted. I'm ready. Save me that spot!

7. You got it!
Everyone we've talked to around here says that we should experience an inauguration. I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't know that about fingernails. Yeah, stuff is stuff and it is easily replaceable. All I know is that the dogs love being outside "helping" me. I leave the sliding glass door to the backyard open most of the day so they can come and go as they please. This afternoon, while I was doing dishes, the German Shepherd brought me one of the pepper plants I had just transplanted to the garden. She looked so cute. I couldn't get mad at her. And when I was digging up the sidewalk, all three of them were trying to help.

If I could just train them to know which plants to pull up or where I wanted plants removed my job would be a lot easier.

9. And they'd let you
The little critters love people and are especially responsive to those who love dogs. There is one cavet, we may have a fourth by the end of the year. Right now, we've got two little ones (a Lhasa Apso and a Shih Tzu) and one big 'un (the White German Shepherd). The Admiral wants to get another big 'un for the WGS, preferably another WGS.

So, we might have another one of these when you get here:

I'll work on the weed thing with them and let you know if I make any progress.

4. When Tweety's on the spot, he'll add a little oil and WonderTwin into Italian dressing.
Terry will win because that dude is douche'd to the core.
