1. In all seriousness, I wouldn't fly.

I'd take a car, a train or a boat.

The airline companies are charging high prices, tacking on fees if you want to have clothes to wear or bring souvenirs home, stop you for any reason that they feel like, can make you take your shoes off if they feel like it, routinely put you through machines that allow people to more or less see you naked, stuff you into a plane and leave you sitting on tarmac for long periods of time (increasing risk of blood clots in your legs) in a cabin that recycles air which exposes you to illness. Face it. The airlines don't want us to fly. They want us to find other modes of transportation. I for one am willing to let them have the company extinction that they're working so hard to achieve.

2. a sign of things to come EVERYWHERE we go and spend money on service or goods

we are in a serious economic free-fall and it's becoming apparent that things are getting extremely bad out there for most of the citizens of this country - more than most want to even think.

I believe we're going to see incredible drops in sales of new items, and homes & cars much stronger than the drops we've already seen that are eye-opening.

The longer the SOB's are allowed to manipulate oil prices and inflate profits hundreds of percentage points from what they were before Shrub got in office, the longer we're going to see skyrocketing prices and economic collapse.

Come on Congress - force Big Oil to repay 100's of billions in monopolized profits done by collusion. Those costs are what is driving up everything we use and buy.
