I was curious as to what Free Republic was saying about Ted Kennedy (surprisingly, they were being nice for the most part, but I guess an earlier thread had been pulled). Halfway down the message chain I saw this:

3. In all seriousness, a single newbie (signed on today and already has 60 posts) stated

that the Freepers were cheering. In reality, there are a few knuckle draggers, but most seem to be offering prayers.

...Fox News is being very respectful of Kennedy's apparent illness. Cal Thomas called in and had some very nice things to say.

Keep in mind that Bush couldn't have gotten the prescription drug bill done without Uncle Ted.

7. I remember when a republican radio talk show host was diagnosed

with breast cancer and some on DU said awful things. Indeed that was the last time Elizabeth Edwards posted after she left a scathing post.

11. Amen, As someone from the Jesus sect of Christianity instead of the Moses side. I am compelled

to forgive others when prove that they are assholes. But it is difference of opinions that makes life great. The freepers do occasionally causes me to think things over. I hope the leader of FR best, and hope for a speedy recovery..
