Cruising for Christ
Could one of you smart people explain this sign to me?

I'm afraid to Google the phrase "Cruising for Christ"

Thanks!

1. I imagine it's Christian bikers. Or, Sen. Craig visiting New Orleans.
Something like that.

But my knowledge of those things is a bit limited.

10. Moby's is a pretty rough place.
If he ordered wine, everyone would think he was a sissy. Sissies don't hang out at Moby's.

Hell, the muslin cloak was chancey enough.

A friend of mine had his boat capsized by one of those brutes.

21. What's dangerous about being capsized in San Fransisco Bay?
It's not like the water's cold or treacherous.

22. I was just kidding.
Hell, the average depth of the Bay is only 11 feet.

But my friend was some kind of surprised when that lion sunk his boat.

Tiburon is a tough place, for sure.

24. I drowned in 12 feet.
No kidding.

Flat-lined my ass.

Spent a whole lotta time in the Texas Institute of Research and Rehabilitation.

Never been the same, since.

12. I couldn't tell.
The place was pretty crowded after The Big Decision of yesterday.

At first, I didn't believe it was Him, I figured He was one of The Village People.

But He was drinking like a fish and His glass was always full.

9. Jesus would ride a bicycle
The great thing about Jesus is that you can use him to justify and promote any of your ideas.

17. Actually, He might.really drive an SUV
But that's because Jesus always had 12 guys riding with him, and if that's the case, a Suburban is actually more fuel effecient than several smaller cars.

Besides, Jesus could turn water into gasoline and modify the exhaust to zero emissions, so it's all good.

20. The 12 guys would all ride bikes
According to my interpretation of the will of Jesus

Besides, I'm pretty sure you can't fit 12 people in a Suburban.

14. Do you really not know what cruising is?
Or are you making a joke? Watch "American Grafitti." That's cruising. Presumably, this is some sixties nostalgia event that is a church fundraiser.

19. When have I ever made a joke on this site?
And just for the record, I think that church would like to go back a lot further than the sixties, at least the 1960s.
