I wish the press would stop calling Mccain's vehicle "The Straight-Talk Express"
Mc Cain may call it whatever he likes, and he may have that painted on the bus, but the press should start referring to it as "Mccain's campaign bus"..

Every time a reporter references it by name, they are spouting his campaign slogan, and bolstering his so-called claim to fame. He has not been a "straight-talker", to them or to us. He's just a run-of-the-mill republican, changing his long-held views to suit the talking points of the day.

He's not a "maverick" or a "straight-talker".. he's an old has-been who figured out a way to manipulate reporters by cooking barbeque for them and feeding them "stories" to fill empty spaces on a deadline. They LIKE him..that's fine, but they should not be giving him free advertising and acting like paid staffers..

Mc Cain has been "mining" his so-called bold streak for far too many years now, and it's time he was called on it.. his voting record speaks for itself.

2. Doesn't bother me cause I like it when Obama says -
"the straight talk express has gone off the rails". It's great fodder for him to use against McCain. :hi:

5. You made my point..
The competing candidates can, and should use the name, but the press should not...except for saying things like "..Mccain calls his bus the Straight Talk Express".. When they all use it, they are affirming him as "the straight talker"..which he is NOT.

7. Ah.....I get it now.
I agree with you; the press should not be aiding and abetting McCain with that perception. :hi:

10. How about "The Forty-Seat Hearse"?
I'd say "Oblivion Express," but I think that was used as a band's name.
