Playing with an Astronaut.!! (Thank you Stephen)
Edited on Fri May-09-08 01:39 PM by annabanana
Since Alan Shepard went straight up and straight down in our first manned space flight in 1961, I have watched the program in awe. It all seemed so completely unreal and exciting.

When we could see newsmen talk to them, it was all official, and if they got a little "bon mot" in at the end of the transmission everybody was pleased as punch.

Last night on the Colbert Report, we actually got a chance to PLAY with an astronaut... And the 'bon mots" got a little risque.. ("that extra inch").

I'm pushing 60 now.. and this just stuff still just tickles me to death!

Thank you Stephen Colbert!

1. Colbert has evolved into the most creative comic genius in my lifetime.
Every time I watch him I am in awe of his talent. And when he started with his own show I thought it was just average.

4. That part of the show put a grin on my face
almost as big as the one it put on Colbert's face.

I love it when the awesomeness of something on his show breaks his veneer for a few seconds.
