Fortunately, today's primaries in Indiana and North Carolina are the last "big two" contests for Hillary and Barack (no offense to Oregon, Montana, and S. Dakota). If I have to watch one more candidate climb in a tractor, tour a race car facility, or gobble another BBQ plate I might 'frow up. But wait a sec, Kentucky and West Virginia are still in the mix later this month, so the dueling duo can't put down the KC Masterpiece, wet wipes, and Pepto just yet.

I think I finally understand how my three-year-old feels on road trips: "Are we there YET?!?!!?" Let's give it a name, call it primary fatigue syndrome (PFC), I've got it bad. I'm so over the back-and-forth battling, I'm not nearly as invested in the outcome as I once was. I have to imagine many superdelegates are feeling the same way.

Hillary went on Fox News (!) and told O'Reilly (!!): "God bless us rich people." Yawn . . . I wonder if there's any leftover spaghetti in the fridge. She compared herself to a racehorse, and urged us to bet on the filly that had to be euthanized on the racetrack after a 2nd place finish? The irony is tragic, and oddly underwhelming for me. And so what if McCain doesn't know the difference between Gulf War One and Gulf War Two, or al Qaeda in Iran? Is the ground warm enough for me to plant tomatoes this week? What about the rain, should I wait and see if the watering restrictions are lifted?

Oh look, Obama's former preacher is dancing around in front of the press club cameras. It sounds like he brought a full entourage of call-and-response congregation members to cheer him on in the background. I wonder if I left my sunglasses in the supermarket yesterday . . . . I want to care about the campaigns; I really, really do. But I'm tired. My brain hurts. Lots of cool-looking movies are coming out. Summer is almost here and I want to relax. Or at least be distracted. Can't I just read a trashy novel instead of watching one on CNN?

And if I must focus on something, there are plenty of important things happening in the world much more deserving of my overworked brain cells and taxed attention span. The death toll from cyclone Nargis has risen to more than 22,000 in Myanmar. The price of oil hit another record today at over $122 a barrel. With the Supreme Court ruling on lethal injections last week, the execution schedule has begun anew - starting today right here in Georgia. Where our governor Sonny Perdue holds prayer vigils for rain, then signs death warrants.

And there are more, many more, important and interesting news items deserving attention. But all I see, hear, and read is related to DECISION 2008!

As I type my afore-mentioned three year old is watching "The Neverending Story" on her little DVD player. I'm watching an adult version on MSNBC. So please superdelegates, I'm beggin' you - I'm droppin' my g's for you just like the candidates do: pretty please, end this misery once and for all. Make it stop.

After all, we still have a general election season to wade through, and then the actual elections in November. I can't hardly wait.

I wonder if the BBQ place on the corner delivers?
