Voting Machine Company Co-Founder Killed in Small Plane Crash in Caracas
Smartmatic Co-Founder, Employee and Shareholder Dead After Both Engines on Small Plane Reportedly Failed Just After Takeoff
News Follows Reports by The BRAD BLOG Concerning the Venezuelan Firm's Continuing Control Over Beleaguered American E-Voting Outfit, Sequoia Voting Systems...

A small plane, carrying the co-founder of Venezuelan voting machine company Smartmatic, crashed earlier this week shortly after take off from the Caracas airport, killing two employees of the company, and several others on board and on the ground. The initial reports from a foreign paper, indicated that the cause of the crash may have been the unusual failure of both engines on the small plane.

Smartmatic has been named as a subject in several recent exclusive, investigative reports here at The BRAD BLOG, surrounding questions of the Venezuelan firm's apparent continuing control over the American e-voting company, Sequoia Voting Systems.

Reports of Monday's crash also indicate that several highly-placed Venezuelan officials were, interestingly, among the first to respond after the plane crashed...

12. Miami Herald story on this: Voting system creator dies in plane crash
Voting system creator dies in plane crash
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/florida/story/516486.html
A founding partner of the Smartmatic voting system, headquartered in Boca Raton, was killed this week in Venezuela when a private plane he was traveling in plummeted into a home near the Caracas airport.

Alfredy Jose Anzola Jaumotte, 34, one of the creators of the voting system program, died at an area hospital Tuesday.

Also killed in the accident were the pilot, Mario Jose Donadi, a convicted drug-trafficker in both the United States and Venezuela; Smartmatic employee Eduardo Ramirez and two residents of the home that was struck by the falling aircraft at about 10 a.m. Monday.

Two other residents of the home were also seriously injured.

Venezuelan authorities reported that the aircraft, a twin-engine Piper Navajo 310 bearing United States issued license N6463L, was en route to Curac¸ao; a 20-minute flight from Venezuela's northeast coast.

The pilot notified the control tower of Maiquetía International Airport that he was experiencing a problem with one of the engines shortly after take-off from the terminal at 9:30 a.m.

In 1999, Donadi, the 43-year-old pilot, was convicted in a Florida federal court to a three-year sentence on drug-trafficking charges, according to court documents.

After serving his sentence in Florida, Donadi was convicted on a separate matter involving drug-trafficking in Venezuela; he was granted probation in April of last year and resumed piloting.

According to Venezuelan aeronautics authorities, the aircraft was used to transport gamblers to Curac¸ao's casinos and was decorated with three aces on the fuselage.

According to local news reports, the plane was being operated by a local intermediary company.

According to the Federal Aviation Agency in the United States, the aircraft is owned by Aircraft Guaranty & Trust of Houston.

Anzola was one of the architects of the SBC consortium, a strategic alliance between Smartmatic, the Bizta Corporation and Venezuela's telephone provider, CANTV, for managing the technology platform of elections in Venezuela.

In 2004, The Miami Herald reported that the Bizta Corporation had to buy back the government's shares in the firm -- a move meant to deflect criticism that the government's investment was a tool to manipulate the election.

32. Hmmmmm...I beg to differ
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hang

usage For both transitive and intransitive senses 1b the past and past participle hung, as well as hanged, is standard. Hanged is most appropriate for official executions <he was to be hanged, cut down whilst still alive…and his bowels torn out — Louis Allen> but hung is also used <gave orders that she should be hung— Peter Quennell>. Hung is more appropriate for less formal hangings.

Royal Sons President Frederick J. Geffon is a shareholder in Skyway Communications and his company is a major creditor in the Skyway Communications bankruptcy (links here and here). In addition, Royal Sons and Skyway Communications previously teamed up to purchase a separate DC-9 via a joint loan agreement, a January 2004 SEC filings shows. That DC-9, tail number N120NE, is now registered to a company in Houston called AIRCRAFT GUARANTY TRUST LLC TRUSTEE, FAA records show.

The paper trail is complex, but it all boils down to several individuals who conducted business with each other via several South Florida companies that all intersect with Skyway Communications, the parent company of Skyway Aircraft in Clearwater, Fla. Those individuals are the following:

Thanks to Bill looking the other way throughout the 90s, BushInc was able to grow stronger with their covert international operations and dealings and gained near total control of voting machines in every country they needed to do business in....including the US.

23. You're the closest....
About 9 times out of 10 this kind of crash indicates water in the fuel...part of normal pre -flight is draining fuel from the sump on each fuel tank to check for water....but again and again I see planes parked that will be fueled just before take-off....and then there is no check prior to take-off.

Designer of verified vote system dies in unlucky accident

After more than 1 million votes went uncounted in the last presidential election, Athan Gibbs Sr. devoted his life to making sure voters in future elections would know their votes mattered.

The enterprising 57-year-old saw his invention of the TruVote vote-casting system as nothing less than the key to social justice and democracy in America.

As family members and business partners gathered at the TruVote office yesterday morning to mourn Mr. Gibbs' death, they vowed that his dream would not die with him.

Mr. Gibbs was killed about 10:30 a.m. Friday in a car crash on Interstate 65 near Eighth Avenue North as he drove from his north Nashville home to his downtown office at Tennessee State University's Business Incubation Center.

Metro police said Mr. Gibbs lost control of his Chevy Blazer after he cut in front of an 18-wheeler and the two vehicles collided. The Blazer rolled several times in the southbound lanes, went over the retaining wall and came to rest on its roof on the northbound side. Gibbs was ejected, police said.
