1. The administration must have access to some really good drugs
because this man is having a wonderful pipe dream.

People are too scared to spend this thing even if they're financially secure enough to do so. They know their jobs aren't secure, their benefits evaporating, their net worth disappearing, and inflation is roaring along well into the double digits, no matter what the liars in Washington tell them. If they aren't going to catch up on the winter's heating bill, they're going to stash it in the bank and hope like hell they don't have to use it too soon.

2. I hate banks and in the current banking atmosphere of
writedowns and writeoffs I just don't trust any large amount of money being in there. My check will be cashed immediately and then it will be stuffed into a five gallon plastic Culligan water jug right along with all the change and most of the loose $1 bills I've stashed over the past year and a half - kept under lock and key.

3. These people also think giving rich people tax cuts creates jobs.
They're delusional. Or they're liars. Or both.

6. I just can't grasp how a few checks in the amount
of $600 here or $1200 there is going to create even a single job.

The stupid hurts really bad.

8. The Entire Interview Was Fantasyland
Here's one millionaire asking another millionaire. Yeah, you're sure to get a straight answer. These guys travel on expense accounts and have limos pick 'em up. They have no connection with what's goin out there other than talking points and broad strokes.

I had to laugh when Paulsen talked about how important it was to have a "strong dollar" yet this regime borrows like crazy that had made this mess possible. Fox looks at henhouse and says everything is just fine.

9. Same lies, different day
Junior promised 2.2 million jobs would be created by 2004 on account of the 2001 & 2003 tax cuts for rich people. Between 2001 & 2004 there was a total of 800,000 new jobs.

To put that in context, about 2.1 million jobs were added to the economy annually over the previous two decades, including intervals of recession.

So let's see what this dickhead Paulson is saying. Half a million new jobs this year thanks to this stimulus package that Junior is taking sole credit for. But not gas prices. Bad Congress! That's 1.6 million fewer new jobs than in an average year. Stupid has always specialized in failing to meet the low expectations he has set for himself.

11. Did Paulson also tell Blitzer how much the stimulus package would devalue the dollar and
why if the stimulus package is so good at creating jobs, why it wasn't ten times or so as big?
